This was our second stay with Theo and it was as wonderful as we had remembered. Theo is a friendly and responsive host with a lovely home overlooking a beautiful valley in the Algarve. The house is the perfect home base for hikers. You can literally walk out the garden gate onto the Via Algarviana, the trail that crosses the entire Algarve, or you can take countless hikes in every direction from trailheads that are within a half hour drive from this home. The house itself is perfectly designed for long stays, with a well-equipped kitchen, a nice dining area, a roomy living room with a gorgeous view, and two comfortable bedrooms. The outdoor spaces are beautifully landscaped with several lovely spots for relaxing and soaking up the sun.

Theo was a wonderful host, available when we needed him, whilst invisible despite being our immediate neighbour. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat in a rural location, yet in touch with the captivating village of Alte, and so many other attractions within easy reach including resort locations of the Algarve, then this is the place for you. The view from the rear covered terrace is stunning, and the circuitous walk Theo introduced us to was amazing, approximately 40 minutes of countryside bliss, orange groves and more, with a bar, Belo Horizonte, near the end where you can get the best value food and drink, overlooking a sunset, and your holiday home, a perfect way to finish your evening……..just wonderful. My family had a wonderful time at Theo’s lovely home! The area was remote but very peaceful and beautiful. The house was super clean & spacious, charming & cosy, and came fully equipped - Theo had even left some treats for us to enjoy. He is very responsive and friendly and even drove us to our friends wedding in the local vicinity…for free! It was very kind of him. His pet dog and cats were also a cute addition. Thanks for a great stay, Theo :)

We waren voor de eerste keer Portugal. Voor het eerst AirB&B. Al met al een hoop nieuwe ervaringen. We hebben twee locaties geboekt; een paar dagen bij Theo en een paar dagen aan de kust (ook AirB&B). Bij Theo voelden we ons direct thuis in zijn huis, waarin alles aanwezig was om ons verblijf te veraangenamen. Vele terrasjes, vele plekjes waar je al dan niet de zon op kon zoeken. Vanuit de woning hebben we enkele dagen de ruime omgeving van de Algarve opgezocht. Terug in de woning van Theo vonden we weer de rust om bij te komen van onze ervaringen. Een mooie locatie, in het buitengebied van de Algarve met rondom natuur om te wandelen en erop uit te gaan; Portugal te proeven en te ontdekken.

A very comfortable property; you want for nothing. The lovely gardens are surprisingly extensive. Comfy bed and a great shower. There are two cats, one of which is very friendly and loving.
