The neighborhood is north of the island of Florianópolis, was planned by the famous architect Oscar Niemeyer and is popularly divided into two parts: Jurerê Tradicional and Jurerê Internacional.
Jurerê Tradicional has a strong presence of commerce, with restaurants of typical food, but still retains the air of a fishing village, passing a quieter atmosphere to all. The beach has green sea and water less cold than the rest of the island, which attracts many bathers both in low and high season. All in all, Jurerê beach is three kilometers long and has access to other famous beaches such as the Fort and Canasvieiras.
The Jurerê Internacional side, in turn, gains more sophisticated air, of high standard and is very independent with markets, parks, open air malls like the Open Shopping and a more refined gastronomy. Besides being very popular because of its nightlife.

The locomotion can be done entirely by foot. Recommended for the best that the neighborhood provides and is extremely safe, with camera systems monitoring practically all the streets. - Downtown (24km): historic heart of the city, full of colonial architecture, shops, restaurants and nightlife. A place to immerse yourself in local culture;
- Lagoa da Conceição (26.9km): paradise for nature lovers. The lake offers activities such as water sports, trails and a relaxed atmosphere with various bars and restaurants;
- Rodoviária (25km): main entry point for bus trips to Florianópolis. Bem located and with access to different parts of the city;
- Airport (36.8km): The Florianópolis International Airport is the main entry point for domestic and international flights.
The Imperatriz Supermarket is just 950m away and the Open Shopping is 1.6km away, the first being the best supermarket option and the second being one of the two most popular shopping centers in Floripa.
