Our open-concept Lakefront Cottage has everything you need for a tranquil vacation stay or work stay, including access to Lake Onalaska and the use of our two-person canoe. The highlight is the large outside deck with an expansive view of the lake. There’s a fan above the deck to keep you cool and bug-free while dining at the table or relaxing on our comfortable chairs or swinging bench. Please read the "Other details to note" section. The Lakefront Cottage is located on the shore of Lake Onalaska on French Island, within the Town of Campbell. Everything on the island is within a couple miles of us, including the airport, I-90, Onalaska and the Mall, and the Mississippi lock and dam system, though none of these have any visual or sound effects on our location. Island Outdoors, an outdoor apparel and fishing store that also offers fishing rental and guides, is about a mile away. Nelson County Park and a private sailboat club are located at the northern end of the island. The island has a few casual restaurants/bars, some with entertainment, as well as a grocery store and a couple of gas stations. You will find many more recreational, cultural, dining, entertainment, and shopping opportunities in the greater La Crosse area on the "mainland", just a few minutes away.
