Extremely friendly and great hospitality, freedom to come and go and responsive. I’m very happy with my stay, the only downsides being no ac and one shower. Would stay again!

Merrie opens her home and her heart to her guests, communicates regularly and checks in to see that you’re doing ok, while giving you as much space as you need. Her well-loved home is within walking distance of the downtown area and of Hannafords supermarket, Walgreens and restaurants. I enjoyed my stay and hope to be back one day.

Merrie is a wonderful host. She was warm and friendly from arrival to departure. Her suggestions for places to eat were great, and I enjoyed our conversations. She let me place food I had been unable to finish in her fridge. My dog was at ease in her home. The cats were sweet and not intrusive. The bed was very comfortable. So much so it was impossible to stay awake. Merrie had everything I needed. I love the style of her home. You can feel the history which made it extra fun. The location was perfect. I felt completely safe, even while walking my dog at night. I am definitely looking to stay here again on my next trip!

We loved staying at Merrie's home. It was so charming and comfortable - we felt like we stepped into another time. The best thing for us was meeting Merrie, though. She was so friendly and interesting (but not intrusive at all). It was a fabulous stay. We would definitely come back.

Very comfortable lodging. I wasn’t around very much because of work I had in the area, but thoroughly enjoyed my time when I was.
