Whistlebend is Whitehorse’s newest neighbourhood. It is located between downtown and Porter Creek, and accessible via Range Rd/Mountainview Drive.
Currently there are residences only, commercial licenses are being issued and Phase 2 will feature shops and businesses. The closest pub is Whiskey Jacks in Porter Creek, about a three minute drive.
Downtown shopping is an easy five minute drive away. (Watch for morning traffic). The Canada Games Centre where you can access a pool, hockey rink, gym, and Physio is also five minutes away.

Casca Blvd is a giant horseshoe that circles Whistlebend. A paved pathway follows along the blvd, with options to pop into the woods for a trail.
The other “prong” of the horseshoe from where you’re staying features a playground, pond, and nearby viewpoint parking with a gorgeous overlook of the river and open sky for northern lights viewing.
Parking on the street is free.
A taxi to downtown will run you about $20-$30.
Bus fare is $2.50, there is a bus that does direct runs downtown but it is once an hour.
