For cosy nights in, make use of the kitchen island/bar stocked with some of the winelands best wines available, chilled in a wine cooler and ready to serve. Make your way into our meticulously designed bedrooms, each boasting in uniqueness yet uniform design and you're in for a treat! Both bedrooms are equipped with aircon for those hot summer days. You'll find it hard to leave the plush, Queen-sized bed in the main bedroom, which has a spacious modern bathroom (make time for a soak in the free-standing bathtub!). Bringing your laptop? Catch up on a few emails at the convenient reading corner. Our comfy second bedroom is also coming with it’s own bathroom and boasts in its beautiful special touches. If you're craving fresh air, the apartment features an outdoor sitting area where you can enjoy breathtaking mountain views as well as having breakfast/lunch/dinner. Top-notch, stable Wi-Fi will help you stay calm and connected. Your car is safe and secure in our dedicated parking space with direct uncovered access to the apartment. There is also additional parking for another car in the complex visitors parking. Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt. Die Wohnung ist in echt nochmal schöner als auf den Fotos und sie ist sauber, was mir persönlich sehr wichtig ist. Man sieht, dass sie vor kurzem renoviert wurde. Die Kücheninsel mit Weinbar war bei unserem Aufenthalt leider nicht vorhanden. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns dann erklärt, dass diese derzeit noch in Renovierung befindet und erst zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt hinzugefügt wird. Unabhängig davon waren wir von unserem Aufenthalt sehr angetan. Auch bei Fragen und Tipps zu Franschhoek waren unsere Gastgeber Pascal und Amanda sehr hilfsbereit und haben schnell reagiert. Vielen Dank für den Aufenthalt in euer wunderbaren Wohnung. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
Eine Unterkunft in der GASTFREUNDSCHAFT noch groß geschrieben wird. Als wir die Unterkunft das erste mal betreten haben, ist uns gleich die helle und stilvolle Gestaltung der Räume positiv aufgefallen. Das die beiden Hosts uns dann noch einen leckeren Roséwein als Geschenk bereitgestellt haben, hat das Herzliche Willkommen abgerundet. Der Einrichtungsstandard ist mit Deutschland zu vergleichen. Sonos Speaker für guten Klang, eine nespresso Kaffeemaschine für einen guten Start in den Tag und eine Auswahl an Büchern und Gesellschaftsspielen haben uns den Aufenthalt versüßt. Aber auch die Umgebung kann sich sehen lassen. Durch die angebotenen Fahrräder kann man die paradiesische Gegend in und um Franschhoek gut erkunden. Und bleibt nur noch zu sagen, das es eine Freude war und wir uns definitiv wiedersehen werden.
- Décoration élégante, très raffinée et minimaliste - un bar à vin, frigo et une sélection de vins régionaux à des prix super. - Un très bon vin rosé comme cadeau d'accueil - un endroit paradisiaque - beaucoup de petits détails comme un choix de différents cafés et thés - cuisine très bien équipée - beau grand balcon avec vue sur les montagnes - super recommandations et conseils sur les restaurants et les vignobles dans les environs proches - les vélos proposés sont une excellente façon d'explorer Franschhoek - très sûr et calme car situé dans un petit domaine - comme l'appartement est un serviced, on n'a pas eu à s'occuper de quoi que ce soit et on a trouvé chaque jour un appartement propre et impeccable. Dans l'ensemble, un merveilleux bijou, une véritable expérience de bien-être en Afrique du Sud. - la communication avec les deux hôtes était excellente et ils étaient joignables à tout moment - lits très confortables - le choix de livres et de jeux de société est très sympa - Superb
We had the good fortune to stay at Pascal & Amanda’s place and we absolutely loved every second of it. From the moment you walk in you can tell it's a high quality place, especially with the beautiful center piece (the kitchen island) artwork and furnishings. This was our highlight being in the Winelands as they have a fully stocked up wine cooler (in the island) with local and one of the best in the area at such good prices and an easy payment system. It's one of those rare places that's also actually been properly kitted out for long stays. It smelt so good, clean and had everything we needed to feel totally at home from the very beginning. I had to do a little ‘work from home’ for a couple of mornings and the Wi-Fi speed was mind blowing. I never had a single issue while on meetings and while working. The working space which my partner used as a powder station worked so well for these scheduled work mornings. The shower water pressure is something we always value and it’s safe
We highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to escape the city life and find peace in a beautiful place that makes you feel right at home. Besides the paradisiac surroundings that already captivated us on our way to the apartment, this place offers everything we could have asked for. The instructions given were clear and easy to follow and the hosts gave us a warm welcoming (Thanks again for the complimentary rosé wine!). Amanda and Pascal are lovely, quick on replies and provide a lot of useful tips that helped us explore Franschkoek. The bicycles provided were a great way to discover the local restaurants and wineries! After a long day it was nice to come back and unwind to a selection of books and board games while enjoying the scenery from our balcony. The private wine bar, stocked with a selection of regional wines at great prices was a highlight for us. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the quality of the amenities gave a nice luxury touch. Our stay was wonderful!

For wine enthusiasts, Franschhoek is home to some of the best wineries in the country, with many offering tastings and tours. There are plenty of ways to enjoy the vineyards apart from just tasting the wines. Many offer paired tasting with foods as diverse as fudge, chocolate or cheese. Olive oil is also made in the valley and offered for purchase or to taste. Several vineyards offer a full day of experiences with beautiful gardens to wander around, restaurants and shops such as Babylonstoren or Boschendhal.
Foodies will be in heaven in this small town which is renowned for its dining scene, with an impressive selection of world-class restaurants offering everything from classic French cuisine to modern South African fare. Vegans and vegetarians are well catered for now too. If you are looking for a Michelin-star type tasting menu experience, there are several options. La Petite Colombe is the sister restaurant of La Colombe which has won many awards, including JHP Gourmet Guide - 3 Plates (highest accolade). It serves a multi-course Contemporary French-meets-Asian fine dining menu and is set amongst the striking scenery and sculptures at the Leeeu Estate.
Beyond wine and food, Franschhoek has plenty to offer visitors. Take a stroll through the charming streets of the town, admiring the colonial-style architecture and picturesque gardens while visiting one of the many boutique shops. Visit the Huguenot Memorial Museum, which tells the story of the French Huguenot refugees who settled in the area in the 17th and 18th centuries, or take a scenic drive through the mountains to admire the picturesque views.
