The house is on a relatively quiet street, despite being so close to the downtown social district. Some of the best local restaurants can be found all on the same block and during the summer months there are frequently outdoor concerts on Thursday nights right on the river. There is also a Farmers Market that runs during the summer months right in downtown on Thursday nights.
Breitbeck Park is a 10-15 minute, beautiful walk or just a couple minute drive. It’s right on the lake with some of the best views of Lake Ontario, especially at sunset. It also had some renovations done to it recently so it includes an outdoor sports court for body weight exercising AND a brand new playground. There are also fire pits available for rental through the city parks department.
The house is 1.2 miles from SUNY Oswego, or a 4 minute drive. It's 7.7 from the Nine Mile Nuclear Power Station and the James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant, or a 15 minute drive.
There is street parking available right in front of the house, except during part of the winter. In that case, we can coordinate your parking arrangements.

There are taxis in town, but Uber and Lyft are also available. The bus system is also running all over near the house, the closest stop being at the corner of the block. There is also a level 2 EV charger one block away if you happen to need that. Once you download the app, it is free to charge.
Oswego now offers Bird Scooters, available to rent with the Bird - Ride Electric app. These scooters are an easy and fun way to get around town and the app makes it easy to find a scooter available close to wherever you are in town. There are frequently many available very close by since the apartment is so close to downtown.
