An entire south-facing wall of glass doors gives you breathtaking views of glittering Lake Chapala from every point in our fourth-story space. You will enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets from your bed, breakfast table, or cozy couch on the private terrace. BEDROOM: The king sized bed has a 12-inch high memory foam mattress from a U.S. manufacturer. It is one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on! We provide cotton sheets, two sets of pillows, and a duvet for extra warmth. A 36-inch electric fireplace with LED lights keeps you warm and sets a romantic mood. Or, if you are too hot, there is a ceiling fan directly above your bed. There are sturdy, handmade bedside tables and wall-mounted adjustable reading lights. BATHROOM: The bathroom is modern with a comfortable toilet, LED makeup mirror, exhaust fan, huge tiled walk-in shower with high water pressure, handmade basin sink, and chrome fixtures. We provide cotton robes, full towel sets, soft bath mat, and hygiene essentials. KITCHEN: Fully equipped with a mini-fridge and freezer, large microwave, toaster oven, induction cooktop, coffeemaker, and hot water kettle. Drink safe water straight from the tap thanks to an inline filter. Dishes, cooking implements, and a starter container of coffee, pantry items, light snacks, and cleaning supplies are provided. NOTE: For an extra fee we will be happy to do personalized grocery shopping for you in advance so that everything is ready for your stay! CLOSET: Here you will find extra bedding, an iron and ironing board, hangers, broom, hand vac, and a first aid kit. CLEANING: A twice-weekly cleaning and freshly laundered sheets and towels are provided for longer stays. Personal laundry service (wash, dry, and fold) is provided at 40 pesos per load. Extra cleaning or is available for an additional fee if you should need it. There is no smoking allowed inside. If smoking is found to have occurred, the guest will be charged a cleaning fee of $1,000 pesos. ENTERTAINMENT: We provide board games, books, yoga mats for rooftop yoga and a Bluetooth speaker. Wifi is strong and reliable. There is also an ethernet connection should you prefer. SAFETY: No smoking! The rooftop casita is accessible up an outdoor stairway. It is not for those afraid of heights and unfortunately not appropriate for children or people with mobility issues! You must be very careful, especially if you enjoy alcohol. Please see photos and contact us in advance if you have any questions. OTHER THINGS (due to guest feedback): We are in a tranquil part of Ajijic but still, we are in Mexico, and noise can occur. Common issues include occasional street dogs, fireworks, and during the day, construction sounds. There is no way to predict this. For that reason we provide complimentary earplugs. If you require a white noise machine or noise canceling headphones we can lend them. We have three large fans in the small space and a portable air cooler. As of May 12 we have added a portable AC unit, but it is still warm in the hot part of the day. The warm times of the day are between 2-6. Before and after that it is absolutely wonderful. The apartment has a large terrace and the breeze is excellent. Something unique is we do not have curtains facing the lake! This is so you will have no obstruction of the fantastic view. For this reason we provide complimentary eye masks for sleeping.
