The Madawaskan is located just south of the village of Burnstown, on approximately a half acre of land on the western bank of the Madawaska River. We are on a private road with about twenty other homes and cottages, with enough space between to offer privacy from neighbours.
The river here is wide and deep enough for fishing and waterskiing/wakeboarding in the summer – though we have a lovely sand beach with a gentle slope into the river that is very kid-friendly!
The property is well-treed with a mix of soft- and hardwoods and slopes down to the river. The large 30' x 12' deck offers a great view of the property and river.

The Madawaskan is a few minutes south of Burnstown, ten minutes north of Calabogie, and about 10 minutes from Renfrew.
Burnstown is a small village featuring an art gallery, two restaurants/cafes, and a live music venue that books a-list musicians.
Calabogie is a small village featuring a typical country store (and gas station), a craft brewery (they also serve food), and a very popular restaurant.
Renfrew is a larger town with No Frills, Metro, Walmart, Canadian Tire, LCBO, Beer Store, and many small shops and restaurants.
If you are looking for more variety and culture, we highly recommend the twenty-minute drive to Arnprior where you will find restaurants, bakeries, craft breweries, cafes, bars and more!
