Chris and Murray are the epitome of kiwi hospitality; friendly, helpful and very accommodating; Nick's cottage ticked all the boxes for us; Murray is a talented musician and we were privileged to have our own private life music session! Awesome! The cottage was very warm and cosy with plenty of wood for the log burner; beds were so comfy; the kitchen was well-equipped and there was a BBQ outside; located close to the Sharplin Falls track and the Mount Hutt ski fields not forgetting the awesome Staveley Store for great coffee; I thoroughly recommend this place as a great getaway!

We love this little spot. There are great walk close by and an excellent cafe 2 minutes walk up the road. Chris and Nick made sure the place was toasty warm for us when we arrived. the little toaster oven worked far better than we expected and the mattress is very comfortable. We are repeat visitors, so obviously enjoy it here. The only downside is if you need good WIFI, which we did this weekend - the WIFI in the cottage is very sparse and unreliable.

From the minute you arrive you’re treat like visiting friends plenty of local information advice . Murray is an expert on the local area if you’re adventurous and there’s an endless supply of logs if you want to relax by the lovely fire. Could have easily stayed a week if we had time. Fantastic hosts
