The Gem City Emerald is an updated & spacious 1288 sqft 3/1 located 1 mile from UD and walking distance to MVH. Nestled in Dayton's historic South Park, walk to coffee shops and bars/restaurants/breweries in the neighborhood. Enjoy the open eat-in kitchen, updated decor, & large bedrooms with king beds & brand new mattresses. Dog friendly with a fenced-in backyard, nearby parks and secure parking in the garage. Quick access to I75 & HWY 35 make this location convenient to anywhere around Dayton! Living room: leather sofa and extra seating with 50" Smart TV Dining: off the kitchen with dining table and six chairs Kitchen: large kitchen with two barstools for extra seating, dishwasher, disposal, large fridge, and everything you could need to make a gourmet meal. Keurig coffee maker, Mr. Coffee, and French press for the coffee aficionados Bedroom 1: brand new king bed, nightstands with apple watch and phone chargers, two dressers, 42" Smart TV, and plenty of space to hang clothes on bars over dressers Bedroom 2: brand new king bed, nightstands with Apple Watch and phone chargers, two closets with storage for all your clothes Bedroom 3/Office: desk and chair to get work done. You will also find a comfortable twin day bed with memory foam mattress and a folding bed with a memory foam mattress in the closet. This folding bed is large and sturdy enough for an adult and has locking wheels for easy maneuvering around the home. The large closet has plenty of storage space for your hang-up clothes and space for your suitcases once you're all unpacked. Bathroom: large walk-in shower (NO BATHTUB but a baby bath can be provided by request) with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. The bathroom is where you also find the stackable W/D for your convenience. Backyard: covered back patio with propane grill Garage: off-street parking available for 1 car in the garage with automatic garage opener. The garage is detached from the house and only a few steps through the backyard. To park in the garage, you must enter from the alley at the end of the block.

What a great place to stay! The house has been decorated beautifully and there were so many amenities including laundry detergent to Shower items, coffe and tea, and 3 ways to make coffee! Keurig, French press and of course Mr coffee! I had many last minute requests and Emily and Ted were right on it!
Awesome house tucked in Dayton Ohio. Walkable to University of Dayton campus and very roomy.
Emily's place was virtually spotless. We were very pleased with the quality of the appliances and fixtures in the home. The area is very quiet in the evenings and night. As several other people mentioned, the bed is very comfortable and they supply a nice range of different pillows. Also appreciated the shampoo and soaps in the bathroom. The location was great. We were never more than 15 min in any direction from the attractions and restaurants we wanted to visit. The couple times we reached out, we received a response promptly. Excellent host! We would stay here again if in the area.
The house was beautifully done and decor was consistent throughout. We had everything we needed and things I didn’t even think of like an iron. Emily was on top of communication and was clear in instructions.

You will enjoy the charm and convenience staying in Dayton's historic South Park neighborhood. Nestled just south of downtown, you will be walking distance to some of the city's finest restaurants and coffee shops. You will be a short walk to Ghost Light Coffee (7 min), Wholly Grounds (5 min), Coco's Bistro (12 min), Jimmie's Ladder 11 (9 min), Branch and Bone Artisan Ales (5 min), and Wheat Penny Oven and Bar (11 min) just to name a few. For the kids and pups, take them over to Burns-Jackson Park (11 min) or Blommel Park (7 min) for sunshine and exercise. There is a Kroger (0.7 miles) up the street for all your grocery needs. Be sure to check out the famous Oregon District with more restaurants and bars that can easily be accessed on foot only 0.8 miles away. There you will find great restaurants such as Thai 9, Roost, Salar, Lily's, and many more. For the baseball fan, check out an action-packed Dayton Dragon's (single A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) game located near downtown and 1.5 miles from where you are staying. Nearby you'll also find the University of Dayton (1 mile), Miami Valley Hospital (0.6 miles), Dayton Children's Hospital (2.3 miles), and Grandview Hospital (2.5 miles). You'll be surprised at the number of parks, nature trails, and things to do in the Gem City. Let the Emerald House be your base for your next Dayton trip or extended stay!
There is ample street parking in front of the house, or a single space in the garage just behind the home with automatic door that is accessible from the alley. Just note, the garage is detached from the house.
