Access to The Annex is via flat/level access and self check-in. The annex is a self-contained ground floor unit within our family home- Please note there is no access to the main house. The Annex comes with a kettle, microwave, mini fridge, basic crockery and cutlery but does NOT have a full kitchen area. We provide all linen and towels as well as a hairdryer. The Annex has Wifi access. There are no stairs within The Annex however please note the shower tray is slightly raised from ground floor level. Please note that we are not in the centre of Bath and our nightly rate reflects that The Annex is a comfortable compact space which is a 5-10 minute drive to the centre of Bath. Location: We are in the beautiful Weston Village area of Bath close to the M4 and a 5/10 minute drive to Bath City Centre. Free on-street parking. On bus route to town (2 minute walk to bus stop). We are situated about 5 minutes flat walk to the Royal United Hospital (RUH) in Bath and are therefore also a perfect location for those working, studying or visiting relatives at the RUH. We are a 2 minute walk away from beautiful rolling hills, with the Cotswold Way Path just meters from our front door. A great base for an escape to both the urban delights of the City of Bath and the restorative joys of the countryside. Advised as a space to rest and recharge after a day of sightseeing in the beautiful World Heritage Site of Bath Spa or as a cosy place to use as a base whilst working or visiting relatives. The Annex is a private unit within our family home and there may be some general household noises drifting through the house at certain times of day. If you are booking a multi-night stay and are working nightshifts at the RUH (and therefore hoping to sleep during the day) please let us know in advance so we can keep all household noise to a minimum for you. Property Description and Amenities The front door of our property is the access to your private Annex (our family home entrance is at the side of our property). The front door opens into a small hallway equipped with coat hooks and a small area suitable for storing suitcases . The shower room is to the right with a corner shower, toilet, small sink and heated towel rail. To the left of the entrance hall is the double bedroom with a comfortable double bed. The door straight ahead as you walk into the entrance hall is the locked access to the main house- this is used by us to access the annex for cleaning when it is vacant. The annex comes with a small food preparation area in the corner of the bedroom equipped with kettle, microwave, mini fridge, crockery and cutlery- Please note this is NOT a full kitchen area and there is no sink other than in the bathroom. The water in the bathroom is also fine to drink. The bed will be fitted with fresh linen and fresh towels are provided upon arrival. If you are staying for more than two nights and would like fresh towels please let us know. If you are booking a multi night stay we will change your linen after 7 nights- please let us know if you would like it changed sooner. For your safety we provide a smoke alarm and a fire extinguisher. Please note there is strictly no smoking, vaping or open flames permitted on the property. Candles are not allowed. Local Shops and takeaways: As well as being a short drive to the wonderful centre of Bath where you can find a large range of shopping opportunities we are also only a 5 minute walk from Weston High Street where you can find Tesco Express, Parsons Bakery, a pharmacy, an Italian deli, a barber, a hairdresser, a takeaway, a bike shop, a gift shop and a charity shop. If you fancy a takeaway we recommend using Just Eats or Uber Eats. Check in and Check out The access to the Annex is via self check-in- please scramble the numbers on the key safe after you have obtained your key and then use your key to come and go as you please until the end of your stay. Check in is anytime after 2pm on your date of arrival and check out is anytime before 10am on your day of departure- we ask that you lock the door and return your key into the key safe upon departure. We can be flexible on arrival and departure times if we have no other bookings before/after your stay at the Annex. Please have a chat with us about your needs. Cars: The clean air zone charges for Bath City Centre only apply to vans and buses. Cars are exempt- you can check this for your vehicle on BANES website. We have free on-street parking outside of The Annex. Please note that during busy periods you may not be able to park directly outside of the property and may therefore have to park further down the road and walk for a few minutes- something to bear in mind if mobility is an issue. Please note: We have two children living in the main house to which The Annex is attached and whilst noise is kept to a minimum there may be 'normal' household noises audible through the house during your stay. We also have a dog and a cat living in the main house although they have no access at all to the annex but you may hear the occasional woof or meow! ------------------------- Bath, Somerset, United Kingdom Located in Weston village, the Annex has the advantage of being close enough to local village amenities and Bath city centre (5-10 min drive) yet we are also just a few minutes walk from the beautiful countryside delights of the Cotswold Way. Our location is perfect for those wanting to enjoy a visit to Bath's World Heritage Site delights such as ambling around incredible architecture, visiting the Roman Baths or perhaps a trip to the Thermae Spa! We are also a 5-10 minute flat walk to the Royal United Hospital and as such can also provide a good location for those working, studying or visiting relatives at the hospital. Getting around There is ample free parking outside the house and a bus stop just a 2 minute walk away. The No4 &4a bus route to Bath City Centre passes every 30mins and takes about 15/20mins to get into the city centre. The last bus back is generally 11.30pm - but check in case timetables change. It is a 5/10 minute taxi ride to the centre (£8ish each way) Uber also operate in Bath. All buses and taxi's take cards or wireless payments. Bath Spa train station is on the main line to London, Bristol, South Wales and Cornwall. There is also a great public transport service to Bristol Airport and a quick drive through the countryside takes you to the M4.
