Casa Picchié is located in the Appio district in one of the historic buildings built in 1927 by the architect Camillo Palmerini, more precisely on Piazza dell'Alberone 15 on the 4th floor, being a historic building it has no lift but it will always be my responsibility to take care of your baggage when you arrive e when you leave, a few minutes from the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, near the Ponte Lungo metro line A 8 stops from Piazza di Spagna Casa Picchiè has three bedrooms, one with a double bed, one with a queen size bed and one with a single bed, two bathrooms, a open view kitchen with a large living room, and a splendid terrace. Fabio’s place is fantastic! It’s just outside the overcrowded, tourist areas and gives more of a feel for real Rome! Yet it is just a few subway stops from all the major sites and has lovely cafes, restaurants and a fresh fruit and veg market opposite. The apartment itself is very modern, clean and comfortable with a beautiful terrace for relaxing after a busy day. Fabio is a lovely host, really warm and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and he really ensures that his guests make the best of Rome!

Fabio is definitely a Super Host in my mind. The place is not only the cleanest place I have stayed in so far in Italy but also the most practical and complete. The kitchen has everything you need as if you are back home, with even dish washer! Beautiful building with history and the appartment has a nice rooftop to enjoy the Prosecco offered by Fabio. We loved the typical Roman food tour we took with him which is unique (where locals go and no tourists). Fabio is genuine, lovely and truly loves seeing customers happy. Always responsive! Grazie mille Fabio, when in Rome, I will definitely come back!

In the Alberone district, the ancient Romans arrived in these lands and built patrician villas, underground cisterns, factories and aqueducts, a residential area full of nature and comfort where the rich went to spend the weekend to relax, far from the frenzy of the capital. Now it is one of the most populous neighborhoods of Rome full of restaurants, shops of all kinds, the famous Alberone market and the typical pizzerias by the slice where slices of pizza are sold to eat while walking. We are located near the Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano and the Holy Staircase, we are near the Caffarella park perfect for running. 15 minutes by metro from the historic center of Rome and the Colosseum.
Metro line A stop Ponte Lungo a few meters away, bus stop right under the front door towards the Vatican, very interesting for touring Rome with the cost of a ticket, taxi stop also right under the front door, train station RomaTuscolana to and from Fiumicino airport.
