The place was perfect for our purpose, which was to stay in a safe and convenient neighbourhood close to our son's family. We really appreciated that when we needed to contact Louis, he was readily available. And we loved the old-world charm of the house. Some might find it a bit distant from the downtown, but parking was easy (we always found a spot right in front), and we actually walked to Old Louisville, some historic cemeteries, and even to the downtown once, when we had just had enough of driving. (But we do like a hike!) We experienced a great variety of weather while there, yet the place was always at a comfortable temperature, and there were duvets and blankets and pillows to spare. The only issue we had, really, was one that I think affects most of Louisville--the frequent planes overhead. Our host even provided a white noise machine to help us get through those first few nights of adjustment. We quickly acclimatized and forgot to turn it on. Many thanks for a great stay!

This was the second time I'd stayed in this place and it was great once again. The neighborhood is safe, quiet, and very walkable. Great restaurants and bars are nearby; it's around the corner from one of Louisville's best breweries with outstanding beer and food. It's an older home so it has its minor quirks like any old house, but I stayed here for two weeks and it was very comfortable. The light in the living room is a little dim but I moved a bedroom light in and it was okay. Beds are very comfortable and there's a washer and dryer in the basement that is a nice addition. Even if you have to drive someplace in Louisville nothing is too far away and it's easy to get to. I look forward to my next stay here.

Louis’ home was inviting and comfortable. The neighborhood is wonderful and we loved the proximity to Monnik Brewing - 3 minute walk!

I had a great stay! Place was a described. Very nice location that was close to everything. Would definitely stay here again!
