If you are searching for a place "off the grid", yet has a few comforts of home, you have found your happy place. No indoor plumbing; the water spigot is next to the cabin. Outdoor shower cold water only. NOTE: We do not provide a generator for you. Please bring your own generator for electric. You will need it in summer for A/C. Pets are welcome. Pet fee of $5.00 per day per pet. Full size bed, twin bed, fire pit, charcoal grill. Outstanding views, and best of all, you are all alone! This small cabin is a wonderful and awesome escape to the great outdoors, but please be sure to carefully read through the listing as it is not suitable for some folks. Conveniently located near the I-75 corridor near London, KY, this cabin features a full size bed with a memory foam mattress, plus a bunk bed. A propane wall heater keeps you warm in the cooler months of the year, and a small air conditioner keeps you cool in the warm months of the year. The A/C requires electric, which is available via generator. The cabin does not have running water inside, but has a water spigot right outside the door. There is a "Daniel Boone" shower. (Outdoor shower with cold water only. Bring your own soap and towels). The shower is operational from the months of April - October only. If you love the outdoors, love nature, have a great adventuresome spirit, are a bird watcher, and can appreciate great views and don't mind roughing it, this cabin is for you. Set on a hilltop all by itself, you have the perfect setting in the country with a view that is absolutely outstanding that consists of hills and woods. You might be fortunate to see some deer or turkey meandering across the fields in front of you. NOTE: We do not provide a generator for electric any longer. If you want to have access to electricity, we encourage you to bring your own generator. You will need one to run the A/C in the warmer months. There is an outhouse within easy walking distance from the cabin. Also has a charcoal grill, and a fire ring for camp fires. Note that we do not provide firewood for our guests; you can bring your own wood or go to town and pick some up at the store. Bring anything you would need for primitive type camping: sleeping bags, pots, pans, stove, paper and matches, flashlights, etc. This cabin is close to the Wildcat Civil War Battlefield and the Wildcat Adventures Off Road park. Please note that we do not allow any shooting and/or target practice of firearms on the property. Feel free to bring your dog. Because of the large, open space at this cabin, you need not keep your dog on a leash. (However, we are not held responsible if your dog runs away, etc.) Please be advised that if you are bringing your dog, there is a $5.00 per day pet fee, payable at check in time. Check in time is anytime after 3:00 PM, eastern time zone.
