Beautiful doesn’t do it enough justice to describe this place, the crew (Pupa and Roka) were so kind and fun, from seeing coral reef snorkeling to garífuna villages to plain swimming in the clear blue ocean in front, it was quite the spectacle. I must say, I understand the concept of no WiFi, to enjoy the nature more, but it did make some challenges such as communication with the transport and having no knowledge of a storm brewing in the corner in the span of hours. Other than that, I couldn’t recommend this place enough, truly a hidden gem in cayos cochinos

We spent 1 week there. Pepe is always prompt in responding inquiries. The cabin is an octagonal structure that has a row of windows around the whole structure, the beach in the front and blooming lush tropical jungle in the back, forming a beautiful surrounding. Coral reef is right there for snorkeling. There is beauty all around. The cabin probably is one of the nicest at Cayos Cohinos. That being said, keep in mind that it's still very rustic and that it can use some facelifting. Keep bug spray on at least on legs in the morning and again in the evening if you are sensitive to insects and bits!!! From left of the cabin, it's a 20 min beach-jungle walk to East End where you can buy fresh fish. From right side, there is a wooden step to climb up to a trail of the island which is not easy to follow. Use AllTrain App to navigate. There are numerous reefs for snorkeling although the amount of fish seem low. Arrival-departure on weekends will make it easier to ride with tours.

There is a $210 USD tax fee once you land on this island which is unexpected. Also there is no hot water , bathroom needs maintenance toilet couldn’t flush properly. Sand everywhere , it was a little uncomfortable.

We loved our stay at this off grid, rustic and lovely cabin. It was very like a camping experience in the jungle, we learned to get fruits from trees and enjoy swimming. It's a good thing we brough our fire to lite the stove and our mosquitos repeliant. Although getting over there by boat was more job (to book in spanish) and more expensive that expected (a total of 600$us for the whole family), we enjoy our stay and Jimmy and his daugther were awesome host. Thank you for this experience!
