Step out the front door and right onto the lakefront walking path, where you can enjoy a stroll while watching the ducks and geese, cast a fishing line, tour the lake in a canoe and enjoy some spectacular sunsets. With its close proximity to so many area attractions, Lakeside Joy puts you right in the heart of all the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains. Lakeside Joy is a wonderful getaway for those who want to enjoy the lake, incredible views, and easy access to the many attractions the Great Smoky Mountains have to offer. When you first arrive, the covered patio, grill and outdoor dining area invite you to pull up a chair and enjoy the beauty of Lake Junaluska just steps away. Step through the front door and you’ll find a cozy living room with a big screen tv, WiFi and plenty of seating to relax and enjoy the amazing views. The living area opens into a wonderful dining space and full kitchen with everything you’ll need to enjoy a meal. Travel down the hall and you’ll find two cozy bedrooms with comfortable queen beds and a full bath. We happily offer discounts to veterans, active military, and first responders. Lakeside Joy was perfect! It's on the quieter side of the lake which we loved. It has a beautiful street level view of the lake and mountains from the living room, dining area and kitchen which is gorgeous. It was warm enough to eat one of our dinners outside on the comfortable patio. There is a street in front but very few cars pass by! Many of the homes in this area have multiple steps so it was really nice to have one with an easy entry. The accommodations were super comfortable and very quiet. We heard nothing from the residents upstairs. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a few meals. Although we had no issues while we were there Loriel and Adam communicated with us regularly just to check in. They totally made themselves available. I would definitely rebook Lakeside Joy!
Wonderful place to stay!! Brought some unsalted peanuts and made friends with some local crows and a squirrel! Amazing view! Definitely will be back! 😊

Lake Junaluska is an amazing and peaceful neighborhood with some incredible views! There is a 2.5 mile walking trail around the lake for you to enjoy, along with kayaking, canoeing and fishing. This is also a great location for accessing two local golf courses, as well as the beautiful town of Maggie Valley, as well as historic Waynesville.
Guests will need a car to best enjoy the area and all its attractions
