Get away from it all when you stay under the stars and in the stunningly peaceful Woodland Retreat in Kildare. Our bell tent is the perfect place for you to disconnect from the rat race and ReConnect with yourself. Featuring a cosy double bed, the tent is located by our fire-pit and only a short walk through the forest to Ballynafagh Lake (European Special Area of Conservation). We invite you to ReWild and ReConnect in The Woodland Retreat. The bell tent is pitched on a raised platform amongst the trees. It is situated beside our fire-pit, kitchenette area and seating hut. The compost toilet on site is a short walk away through the trees. The bell tent has a double bed and lockers in it. It can easily accommodate two further single mattresses for families. We are happy for families to also erect their own tent beside our bell tent to accommodate more children. The forest itself is used as an outdoor activity and retreat centre. It features lots of signposted walks, a yoga platform, a tree house, a raised dining area and multiple meditation spots. It also runs as a Forest School during the week with a mud-kitchen, rope bridge and other amenities to encourage children to learn through play. Our forest is adjacent to Ballynafagh Lake (SAC) which offers stunning walks and sunsets. The lake is a 5 minute walk away from the bell tent.
