The cottage is just a mile from the friendly village of Cwmdu which has a welcoming pub and well-stocked shop, and makes a wonderful base for exploring the Brecon Beacons. Local landmarks and attractions include the remains of Talley Abbey overlooking Upper Talley Lake (1 mile), Dinefwr Castle and Newton House (both in Dinefwr National Nature Reserve – 9 miles), Carreg Cennen Castle, Aberglasney Gardens, Herbert’s Quarry and the National Botanic Garden of Wales (all within 16 miles).
