George’s place was perfect for us. Beautiful outdoor living space for sipping coffee every morning, Swimming in the clear ocean just 10 steps from the front door. We stayed long enough to check out a few of the many local restaurants and cafes in matala, all of which were delicious. There are trails on both sides of the bay to get you up and over the tall cliffs which were lovely and convenient to get some exercise so close to George’s place. He’s right about the night life, there was live music all of the nights we were there. If you aren’t feeling like spending more time at the bar, you can listen to live music from the comforts of George’s patio! All in all our trip to Matala was fantastic and we hope to some day return to George’s place!

We loved our stay in Matala, George was a great host! As listed there was abit of noise but not noticeable (earplugs were provided). Views were amazing! We stayed just over a week so an improvement could be a small hob to eat some hot food in rather than eating out - but we did know this before we went! Location was great, located just above the best food in town!

Our stay at George’s apartment was nice. The little one room studio is perfect for a couple. The balcony is truely breath taking, with the best views of the entire cove. From the apartment you can walk down and dive into the clear water to swim and snorkel. George did warn us about the noise. We stayed during peak season, and the noise from the bars did not stop until 6am on some days. I would definitely recommend the apartment to friends who are willing to party and celebrate. Despite the incredible views it might have been a bit too loud to recommend to older or more conservative travellers!

We stayed at Matala Caves for 10 days in August and wish we could have stayed longer. The inside space is ample for two people, however the outside space is amazing and it is where we spent most of our time. It can get a little bit noisy in the evenings from the music from the bar below, but we knew this beforehand and packed some ear plugs. George was really responsive and helpful when we had minor issues and he also arranged a taxi for us to and from the airport, which was a big saving compared to the transfers available online. The apartment is so close to the sea, the beach and some of the best bars and restaurants in Matala. We had an amazing time staying here and can’t wait to come back and stay here in the future 😁

Amazing experience, highly recommend this amazing home beautiful views and very convenient location in the heart of Matala, George is also an amazing host and very friendly with amazing suggestions to some amazing places to visit I highly recommend
