Really enjoyed our stay here. Facilities were great and up to standard, and there was loads of nearby walks and places to stop for food and drink. Would recommend and would happily stay again.

Alot has been said in previous reviews of The Acorn, all of which is true. Reubin was super helpful, when I had the occasional question. The lovely little house is excellently located, private but with lovely views. I spent happy hours counting rabbits, the odd fox and a variety of birds. The walk along the river, in either direction makes it super special.

We had a 6 week stay here and were happy with the size of the place, facilities and location. Off street parking and dog friendly. Reuben was very responsive and helpful as a host. The bed is on the smaller side and there can be some noise from the road, which some might struggle with but for us was fine the majority of the time. Good access to a walking trail from the back of the house, and a 20 minute walk to the town with lots of restaurants. Easy access to Stansted airport by car or bus also. Huge garden which would be great in the warmer months. Happy to recommend Reuben's place.
