The architecture buff drew inspiration for the house from the region's built heritage. He was inspired by the collective warehouses once used by fishermen. They were built on the seafront in the 1930s. Their simplicity is unmistakable. Inside the house, the streamlined look is inspired by the German Bauhaus philosophy. Born in Germany, the original owner knew the rules well. He used them to create a functional home with a minimalist, uncluttered design."
