The apartment is very nice with plenty of space, light, and storage place. The area is convenient and pretty. But I had an unusual amount of trouble with the phone app used for getting in and out of the building and the apartment. The host didn't send clear instructions or sent them late / when I asked, and they went back and forth re: what I need to do. As an international traveller using data I had to travel to a cafe just to get wifi to download things which then weren't even needed, spending money on transport and other items in the process. And still I was always worried if I'd make it back into the apartment at night or not because the app was doing weird things. So an unusually nice place, but unusual stress too. There was also no coffee, dishwash liquid, shower gel, and other things that are available in most other Airbnbs, and the floors were a bit dusty.
The place itself was gorgeous and lovely. Everything was clean. Each room was nice and the app was self explanatory after gaining access 35 min after arrival. The WeHost communication was not active, poor, slow to respond and put me and my 5 year old child in a situation where there was unavailable parking so we sat in the car for 45 min trying to find a spot. They close the lot next door and kept a tenant near by who always warned you of getting towed overnight. If the service and communication was better, would be an easy 5 star rating. But the WeHost system did a poor job during my stay.
The HVAC situation is not only that heat is only available during the winter months but that it is also ALWAYS ON. You must leave windows open with the unit OFF, or it will pump out heat constantly. The listing nor check in instructions and guidelines warned against this little fact and I woke up overnight to the room at 86°F!! The room and apartment was clean and great amenities but in late April it was so hot I spent as little time as I could there.
