This was the best stay ever! Sue made us so welcome and relaxed in her lovely home, went out of her way to make sure our stay was comfortable. She lit the Rayburn in the kitchen and the log fire in the living room so we had a choice of socialising with her, which we did and enjoyed so much, or, had we preferred, to chill on our own we had the option of a lovely living room and cosy log fire. She was so generous and hospitable offering local brewed beer and wine for the weary traveller, breakfast too although it was not in the contract at all. A very lovely stay in a most comfortable, although for me at 72 quite a low, bed in a very clean and well appointed room with a view over the fields. An efficient shower in a great, clean bathroom just a few feet away down the hall. We were made to feel totally at home and also enjoyed her dog Bella, the kitten and the hens. A beautiful garden, terrace, good parking and great directions to find her. We arrived very late but Sue was understanding and sent us off to the nearest village for a chippy and a pint but not before offering to cook us some eggs! We so much appreciated that and her great directions to help us navigate the tiny country lanes in a totally unfamiliar area to us. We would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone who wants to see Salisbury and the surrounding area. Fabulous! Thank you again Sue.

Everything just as the hostess says. A lovely bucolic location. If you are looking for peace and quiet, you will find it here. In spite of that, shops are just a few minutes away in Downton.

This was a wonderful little haven when I needed a quiet stopover between travels and a wedding. The little touches such as a hot water bottle in bed in the evening, a nice coffee and eggs from the hens in the morning and cuddles with Bella in front of the fire really made it. So much hospitality and great company - this lady and her home are absolute gems set in the lovely Salisbury plain. Thank you for a lovely stay, Sue! X
