This is a nice and quiet place to relax. Our villa was in a location that offered privacy. Also, their cafe is one of the attractions for us! They make very nice sourdough and brioche! We "discovered" their breads when we came to Koh Samui 2 years ago and this was one of the reasons we came to stay at The Natives this time around. Also, the beach is quiet, no waves, with only the swirl of the occasional kayak paddling by. It may be slightly rocky in some areas but you can always find a sandy spot. Sunsets and sunrise are both beautiful here. The villa is designed in the traditional Thai way. The kitchen has the basics you would need for simple dishes, and of course, coffee/tea. So you can opt to bring home the freshly-baked sourdough form the cafe and have it at your own place. While some reviewers mentioned the lack of English, we had absolutely no problem! Check-in and check-out was easy. And communicating other things we needed was also not a problem.

Le logement était propre et conforme aux attentes. Le personnel ne parle pas ou très peu anglais. La boulangerie est excellente a l'entrée.

Das Haus hat einen besonderen Charme. Oben viel Platz; 1 großes Doppelbett/ 1 Einzelbett; Kleiderständer; es wird dort sehr warm (2 Ventilatoren, 1 Aircon); die Treppe muss man können. Schlafzimmer unten kühler, dunkler, kleiner; große begehbare Garderobe; Safe. Manches könnte repariert/ ausgetauscht werden (z.B. Vorhang oben Riss, Sofabezug unten geflickt/ gefleckt). Strand bei Ebbe ganz schmal, bei Flut gar nicht; Zugang über Stufen (Kajak müsste da auch runter); im Meer breites Steinfeld. Am Pool nur 1 kleiner Sonnenschirm; Straßenlärm (plus aktuell Baggerarbeiten nebenan); große Stufen. Wäscheservice günstig möglich; Reinigung im Haus nicht ganz klar - 1 x ja, sonst nicht; aus der Beschreibung nicht ersichtlich (sehr freundliche Familie; aber eine Verständigung auf Englisch fast unmöglich). 1 x nächtl. Panne mit wohl undichter Toilettendusche -> Überschwemmung Bad oben/ Wasser unten im Schlafzimmer - wurde schnell behoben. Kleines Café angeschlossen.

The Natives Samui is outside of the busiest area of Koh Samui which is nice if you’re looking for quiet. There are 4 or 5 restaurants in walking distance. The villas are on the beach or one villa back, great location. The beach has a row of seaweed just offshore but the beach and water is warm and swimmable. The outside shower is refreshing and lovely. The on-site bakery is fabulous. Would be nice if it offered sandwiches in addition to toast and jam and pastries. Would definitely recommend.
