The cottage is conveniently situated just a block away from the City Park, the AFL Football Stadium and the vibrant Inveresk Precinct, where you'll find the Museum. The location allows for an easy stroll to Launceston CBD and the beloved Farmers Market. The cottage has undergone recent renovations, offering a fresh and modern vibe. It features 2 newly furnished bedrooms, each housing a comfortable queen-sized bed for a restful night's sleep. The open-plan living area is thoughtfully designed featuring spaces for dining, relaxation and meal preparation. Sink into the large sofa in the lounge area, equipped with a DVD player and Smart TV for entertainment. The kitchen area is fully equipped with an oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, Nespresso machine, toaster, kettle, glasses, dishes, and utensils—everything you need to whip up a delicious meal. Nestled amongst these iconic buildings, you will find many delicious cafés and restaurants, an array of shops and boutiques offering unique finds you won't want to miss, a vast range of cocktail bars, pubs and many amenities and recreational spaces.
Venturing out from the cottage, you'll discover a convenient shopping complex within walking distance. Here, you'll find everything you need, from a bottle shop and chemist to a bakery, Coles supermarket and even a Kmart.
Just around the corner, you'll find some delightful spots like Sweet Brew and Coco bean Chocolate, perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. And for a truly indulgent treat, make sure to visit Bread and Butter near City Park, where you'll find an array of mouthwatering croissants, cakes, bread and coffee that are simply irresistible.
Launceston has many things to see and do including the nearby vibrant Harvest Market which is hosted every Saturday morning, the Princess Theatre, hosting local, interstate and international performances, the Star Theatre for a cosy, cinematic experience, and many pubs and venues that host amazing live, musical talents.
Often referred to as the 'Lygon’ Street of Launceston, you will find some of Launceston’s most popular eateries and amenities on the illustrious Charles Street. George St is also known as ‘Eat Street’ with a range of restaurants, bars, gin houses and cafes to cater for most tastes.
The Cataract Gorge is a spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks, fresh water swimming basins, the world's longest single-span chairlift and vibrant peacocks! An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations.
The City Park which is known for its beautiful oak tree gardens, playground for the children, a plant-filled conservatory and cheeky snow monkeys. Nearby, you will find Penny Royal World. This attraction provides you and the family with a fabulous day out, with boat rides, rock climbing, rope courses, and more found here. For the adults, Penny Royal also provides a beautiful atmosphere where you can enjoy a wine or coffee.
Just across from the cottage, you'll find the scenic North Esk riverbank walkway, which leads you directly to the Seaport Precinct. Here you will find some of Launceston’s most beloved restaurants and bars scattered along the edges of the Tamar River. Restaurants to note are Mud Restaurant and Bar, the Levee Food Co. and Spice. Across the bridge you will find the Riverbend Park for all day play entertainment, the Boathouse Café and Silo Hotel.

FREE TIGER BUS: The bus travels around the city. There are bus stops located nearby outside Princes Square Park and the Launceston General Hospital. INTERCITY BUS SERVICE: Tasmania has you covered with a variety of intercity bus services to make your city-to-city travels a breeze. If you're in the North West region, which includes Burnie, Wynyard, Devonport, and more take a peek at the 'MerseyLink' bus service website for their timetables. If you're heading to or from Launceston and the southern spots like Hobart, make sure to swing by the 'Kinetic' website. Please note that 'Kinetic' has you covered for some routes to and from Devonport as well.
