Feel refreshed when you stay in this rustic gem. Tucked away in a quiet spot with breathtaking views across the countryside. A cosy self-contained luxury cabin finished to a high standard with everything you need for a relaxing stay in the Cotswolds. The luxury cabin includes an all in one cosy living and sleeping space with a fully equipped kitchenette and a separate bathroom. A night away should be an opportunity to reboot and recharge which is why the cabin is furnished with a top quality Naturalmat bed, mattress and topper for extra comfort. We have an outbuilding to store bicycles and motorbikes by prior arrangement. We have a gym which is available to use by prior arrangement.

Was absolutely lovely, exactly as description. Finishing touches inside were beautiful too. Lots of little touches to make it an absolutely wonderful stay! Only one issue on checking in was the stiff lock, this was communicated as a possible issue ahead of arrival, and fixed very quickly by Rosie / George. Would not hesitate to book again! Thank you!
Rosie was an excellent host. We had a blissful stay at The Hide. We were delighted by the views each morning as well as the comfort of the bed! All the amenities were a lovely surprise, thoughtfully placed and covered everything we needed and more! The space is ideal for 1-2 guests and the surrounding countryside created the most peaceful atmosphere and we could tell a lot of love has gone into creating a peaceful hideaway. Easy to control the temperature to your liking. The aesthetic of the space was our main attraction and we were not disappointed throughout our stay. Thank you again Rosie, we would not hesitate to come back again in the future!

A really wonderful stay. The hide is in a beautiful location, with wonderful views particularly in the morning. The place was very cosy, lovely and clean and had everything we needed (and more!). Rosie was a great host and the extras really made the stay.

Shenington is a picturesque Cotswolds village situated in the north of Oxfordshire on the boundary of Warwickshire.
The cabin is located a short distance from a 14th-century church. There are a number of country walks and bike rides from the doorstep and our local pub is short walk away. A little further on the other side of the village is the runway which is a fab spot for evening drinks, cocktails and dancing! Check their social media for events and opening. They are also open on Tuesday mornings for coffee and a pastry. Well worth visit.
A village shop can be found in Tysoe which is 5 minutes by car.
Other highlights within half an hour by car:
- Compton Verney 17 minutes
- Blenheim palace 30 minutes. Great Tew is on route and has a brilliant cafe (Quince and Clover) which serves breakfast and lunch. The village is picturesque and has some lovely walks too.
- Wroxton abbey 5 minutes
- Broughton castle 10 minutes
- Upton house 5 minutes
- Soho farmhouse 25 minutes
- Stow-on-the-wold 30 minutes
- Stratford-Upon-Avon 25 minutes
- Bourton-on-the-water 35 minutes
- Oxford 50 minutes or a 20 minute train from Banbury
Public transport from Shenington is limited. We can recommend taxi companies but pre booking is usually required.
Banbury is the nearest train station, which is 15 minutes away by car.
