The home is a double wide trailer in a rural setting. Restaurants, grocery store and gas stations along with Escalante visitor center minutes away. Well stocked full kitchen. Front porch and back yard space. Comfortable home. Not immaculate but clean enough. Most Airbnbs don’t clean their ceilings or ceiling fixtures. A bit outdated but I would highly recommend it. One of the more comfortable Airbnbs we’ve stayed at. We have stayed at many around the western National Parks

My family really enjoyed our time at the Southweat retreat. The indoor space was perfect to relax in after a day outdoors and was extremely clean. We loved the decor and open living/dining area. Our favorite part of the stay was the view from the front porch. By being at the end of the road it felt like you were far away from town, yet it was less than 5 minutes to drive anywhere in Escalante. We would definitely recommend Alena's place as a basecamp for exploring the area or just as a quiet escape from the city.

Our family really found the Southwestern Retreat to be incredibly cozy. Convenient and private feeling location. The art really adds nice touches to the space. Felt like a luxury to have a refrigerator with water and ice. The linens, both bed and bath, were of a nice quality. Extra cozy blankets were available for use when spending time in the living room together. Nicely stocked kitchen as well. Great view from the front of the house. Host reached out and provided helpful tips and recommendations.
