Stay in a Star-gazing yurt for an immersive experience blending traditional nomadic living with modern comforts. Enjoy a cosy ambience with Moroccan-inspired furnishings and a crackling fire. Sleep under the stars in comfortable quarters for two adults and two children, with traditional single futons and a king-sized bed. Set within 20 acres of parkland, it's perfect for outdoor adventures and exploring Dorset and the Jurassic Coast. South Lytchett Manor offers an unforgettable experience. Our yurts have been hand-built to the highest standards and provide the perfect home-away-from-home for those looking for a luxury way to stay in the great outdoors. With their designs originating from Kyrgyzstan, our dome-shaped yurts have been hand-built in neighbouring Devon using sustainable ash hardwood. Inside, you'll find a Moroccan-inspired interior design with warm and rich colours, intricate patterns, and textures. Moroccan-themed brass or copper lanterns, ornate mirrors, and lamps add to the rustic ambience. Furthermore, embroidered rugs, throws, pouffes, and cushions provide a homely comfort. * Yurt interiors may vary. Stepping inside the yurt, you immediately feel its cosy and inviting atmosphere. The circular space is ingeniously designed, with a central skylight or crown wheel allowing natural light to filter in. The interior is adorned with vibrant Moroccan-themed textiles, and rustic furnishings, creating a comfortable and homely ambience. The main living area of the yurt serves as a multipurpose space, where you can relax, dine, and socialize. Seating arrangements surround a central gas-controlled log burner, providing warmth and a focal point for gatherings. A small dining table may be set up for meals. The kitchenette area is well equipped with a coffee machine, two-ring hob, kettle, toaster, wireless charging point and small fridge. As night falls, the living area transforms into sleeping quarters for two adults and two children (up to 14 years old), with traditional futons laid out on the floor and a king-size bed for comfort. You can snuggle down and enjoy the night sky through the central skylight. Adjacent to the yurt, you'll find an outdoor seating area, where you can enjoy al fresco dining, soak up the sunshine, or simply take in the natural beauty of the surroundings. The park offers award-winning amenities; receiving a Gold standard Loo of the Year award, which is a short walk away from your accommodation. We also have shared laundry facilities, dishwashing areas, and a well-stocked shop offering essentials and local produce. Please note that there are no toilets/showers in the accommodation. We welcome dogs into some of Yurts, so if you would like to bring your furry friend, please get in touch with the team to add this to your booking. Please note that there is a £5 surcharge per pet per night. While we strive to provide most of the necessities for your stay, we advise you to bring your bed linen, including sleeping bags/duvet/pillow, bed sheets, and pillowcases. You should also bring your crockery, mugs, glasses, chopping board, corkscrew, cutlery (including a sharp knife for chopping/cutting), frying pan, saucepan, tin opener, water carrier, washing up bowl, and other necessary items. **Just a friendly reminder to pack an eye mask if you’re not a fan of early morning wake-up calls. If you don’t fancy cooking, the local pub, St Peter’s Finger, is just a 10-minute walk away and serves excellent meals. Bournemouth and Poole are short drives away and have a wide selection of restaurants, cafes, and pubs to suit everyone’s taste buds. In high and shoulder season, our onsite bakery and cafe offers a selection of freshly baked pastries, homemade cakes, and bread. We also serve barista-level coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and iced lattes. The park offers a range of recreational activities to keep guests of all ages entertained. Children can enjoy the adventure playground, while adults can relax with a book from the mini library. Nature trails winding through the park provide opportunities for strolls and wildlife spotting, while a dedicated dog exercise area ensures furry friends can stretch their legs.
