I read the wonderful reviews and booked this stay. It was amazing!!! Do not hesitate to book here. The stay is about 20 minutes from the city center but is absolutely beautiful. Mr. Annon is the perfect host picking us up at the airport, cooking breakfast every morning and our farewell dinner. He is an amazing cook and even took us to meet a tour guide and picked us up as well as taking us to the Grand Palace and coffee tasting. He even walked me through the process how to make the perfect Pad Thai. He is the ultimate host. The stay was amazing! You will not be disappointed!

Absolutely an amazing experience. Undoubtedly the best AirBnB experience we have ever had. Khun Anan is a retired advertising executive and has traveled throughout the world and speaks English (with an English accent) perfectly. Khun Anan’s beautiful compound has 2 separate houses plus 2 stunning rooms in the main house decorated with beautiful antiques from all over Asia. The compound is set within a rural area surrounded by rice paddies and beautiful gardens and houses. After a week in Bangkok, the peace and quiet was delicious. Khun Anan is also an amazing chef. He made us breakfast every morning: seasonal fruits, espresso (he has 2 Italian espresso machines), and a choice of Western or Asian breakfast (we of course requested Asian). He even made us an 7 course Thai meal the night before we left. That meal was by far the best meal we’ve had in Thailand. Khun Anan also expertly arranged outings around the area for us every day. We felt like we were staying with a friend!

I am lost for words to describe how wonderful our stay was at Anan's home and the unprecedented level of hospitality and warmth we encountered by Anan himself. We arrived at his homestay way later than we had anticipated, hungry and tired and immediately Anan offered to drive us to the center of Chang Rai, find us a restaurant so we could have dinner and drive us back. Already we were in paradise! The two rooms we rented in his garden a few metres from the main house where beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. You could tell that the hand of a designer had been involved, Anan himself! Anan suggested where to visit, arranged a driver with a van for us for two days, made amazing breakfasr and dinner for us and above all helped us when we needed to take our 9 year old who had not been feeling well to the doctor. We felt like staying with family. After years of travelling around the world these 3 days with Anan will always have a very special place in our hearts. Thank you!

If I could give Anan's place more than 5 stars we would. We've stayed at airbnbs all over the world, but this was by far the best experience of any of them. The cabin is on Anan's property is cosy, and well furnished. The yard itself is a beautiful north Thailand farm with chickens, grass and fruit trees. The highlight was Anan himself. He's the friendliest, most generous host we've ever met. He welcomed us into his home with open arms, shared stories and tips about the area and answered the silliest questions we had. Anan is also a talented cook - his breakfasts are tailored to each guest (we opted for Thai breakfast) and they were the best we've had anywhere in Thailand. He also treated us to dinner - twice! - which was spectacular - Michelin star level. If you ever stay in the Chiang Rai area, don't even think about going anywhere else. Stay with Anan - it'll be the highlight of your Chiang Rai visit!
