Tucked away to the rear of a mature private garden, Felin-Eithin is a cute two bedroom stone cottage on the Llŷn Peninsula. Sleeping four in total, this is the perfect hideaway for a small family or group of friends. Located centrally in a rural location, the property provides a perfect base from which to explore the Llŷn Peninsula and everything it offers. A pathway through the beautiful garden leads to the entrance of this picturesque cottage packed full of character with a modern twist. The door leads into a single storey kitchen space, with units in a shaker style. With grey frontage and an oak worktop with beautiful white ceramic sink, the modern kitchen is well equipped. Featuring a built in oven with electric hob over, fridge, dishwasher and high level built in microwave, there is plenty of counter and cupboard space for preparing and cooking meals for the household. With white tiles and wood panelled walls, the pitched ceiling shows off the exposed wooden beams of the structure, which beautifully match the wooden flooring underfoot. A door leads through into an inviting dining room, decorated in a picture perfect cottage style. White wood panelling to the lower walls makes way for a darker grey paint finish at high level. A slate tiled fireplace with oak surround is home to a traditional log burner, creating a cosy feel, and the square wooden dining table in the centre of the space is the perfect spot for breakfast or dinner. Passing the stairs, a door leads to the lounge area completing the ground floor layout. This stunning room really brings the character of the cottage to life. An exposed stone feature wall includes a second log burner on a slate hearth. The reminder of the walls are painted in shades of grey, the deep walls exposing stonework and wooden lintels above the window. With a large L shaped grey leather sofa, armchair and footstool, it's a fabulous room to relax in the evenings, catching up on a movie or boxset on the large wall mounted Smart TV, or having a chat over a drink or two. Stairs from the dining room lead up to the first floor of this cute two bedroom stone cottage on the Llŷn Peninsula. With a small footprint, the cottage makes great use of space with two double bedrooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom, directly at the top of the stairs, is a wonderfully cosy room accessed via a wooden stable door. A double bed sits centrally on a wood panelled wall with bedside tables on either side and stylish wall mounted lamps providing softer lighting. A set of French doors look out over the garden, sitting alongside an exposed stone wall, with another shaped window to the return wall. Both windows feature shutters rather than curtains, adding charm and character. With a built in double door wardrobe, there is plenty of space for clothes storage. Exiting the main bedroom, a step down is located directly outside the door. Across the landing, the second bedroom of Felin-Eithin is slightly smaller but equally as charming. Once again, the wood panelled walls are present, this time in shades of grey up to a picture rail. A double bed is spaced centrally featuring soft white and grey bedding, with cushions and artwork depicting sheep - a nod to the surrounding rural landscape. Completing the layout of the property, a shower room located between both bedrooms is a lovely space. With a modern WC and basin to one side built into a cupboard unit with oak counter top, a large wall mounted mirror provides a greater sense of space. Opposite, a large walk in shower cubicle is fitted with bright white tiles, which continue around the room, along with slate window sills and exposed stone work.
Situated in the heart of the Llŷn Peninsula, Felin-Eithin is located on a quiet country lane with off road parking. The outdoor space of the property is wonderful, offering privacy in the mature garden surrounded by trees and greenery. With landscaped rockeries and patios, a sunny spot near the door includes outdoor furniture, the perfect area for al fresco dining or drinks on the warmer lighter evenings.
Heading in any direction from the property leads to a number of beauty spots and attractions on the Llŷn Peninsula. A drive north heads to a rugged coastline of cliff walks and sandy beaches. Located centrally, Morfa Nefyn is home to the fantastic Traeth Nefyn (Nefyn Beach), a stunning long expanse of golden sand beach on the popular Wales Coast Path, with mountain views to the north east including Yr Eifl. To the south west, the beach stretches out towards the famous village of Porthdinllaen which is home to the Ty Coch Inn - a beachside pub which is rated one of the best beach bars in the world. Located on a headland jutting out to sea, the old fishing village of Porthdinllaen can be accessed via the beach or along a path running through the nearby golf course. It's a wonderful spot for a cold beer on the beach, and there are further coves to explore along the coastal path. Summer weekend evenings provide a real beach bar party vibe with DJ's playing out on the patio, alongside an outdoor bar.
There are several beautiful beaches to the south west of the Llŷn Peninsula, such as Abersoch, a well-known resort with gorgeous golden sands, water sports, and an excellent dining and drinking scene. Llanbedrog nearby features a beach with clear and shallow water, along with woodland walks heading to a fabulous vantage point of the coastline. Be sure to head east to the coastal town of Criccieth. The town's primary attraction, Criccieth Castle, is perched atop a hill with views over the coastline of Bae Ceredigion (Cardigan Bay) and, on a clear day, the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia). Visit Cadwaladers on the high street for ice cream, or Dylan's Restaurant on the seafront, housed in a gorgeous art deco structure, for a fantastic lunch or dinner in a magnificent setting.
Families should allow some time to visit Glasfryn Parc, which is conveniently situated and not too far from the cute two bedroom stone cottage on the Llŷn Peninsula. A plethora of activities are available at Glasfryn, such as go-karting, archery, crazy golf, and other water sports like kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding.
