Relax & unwind the property is surrounded by tropical lush jungle and complete with the healing sounds of nature that soothes the soul. On the property the Modara river flows through blessing the space with its natural beauty & essence. With only a 10 min walk you can access Modara beach. 4 bedrooms & 1 bathroom, its the perfect place to host a family or a group setting such as a Yoga retreat or surf camp. Centrally and conveniently located for ease of travel. The most enjoyable thing about this place is that it is secluded and surrounded by lush jungle and the soundscapes that accompany it. In addition you have the Modara River flowing through the property blessing the peaceful space. The serene river can be enjoyed directly on the property. The space offers a lot of privacy and is very minimalistic but equipped with all the essentials to enjoy your stay. This property had 4 bedrooms but only 1 bathroom to share. It is ideal for a group of people who don't mind sharing a bathroom space. The backyard is large and open for guests to enjoy. There is also a living room, dining area and kitchenette for the guests to use.

Centrally located with a 10 minute walk to Modara Beach & less than 6 min drive to Mirissa.
Distance to main attractions in southern province:
* 1 minute drive, 3 minute walk to Nigrodharamaya Temple
* 4 minute drive to Weligama Beach (beginner surf spot)
* Exactly halfway between Mirissa and Weligama, conveniently located.
* Less than 7 minute drive to the famous Mirissa Beach in close proximity to modern restaurants and eateries.
* 10 minute drive to fisherman village
* Around 45 minute drive to the beautiful Galle
Fort (recommended)
*Around 27 minute drive to Matara Paravi Duwa Bridge Temple (recommended)
Free parking is provided at site. If airport pickup and drop off is needed please message the host and set that up in advance for a fair fee.
Please note tuk tuks are easiest, most inexpensive, and fun ways too get around the area. There are a plethora of tuk tuk drivers scattered about the area but if you want a personal reliable driver for hire for your stay please inquire. Otherwise you will have to negotiate different prices for rides to various locations.
If you are the adventurous type and like to sight see places on your own my recommendation is that you rent a scooter which we can arrange for your stay. It is such a liberating and freeing experience that is most enjoyable for any skill level of riders.
If you prefer a more guided experience we also offer a variety of tours, this includes food tours, attraction tours, whale tours and buddhist temple tours. Please refer to guest book to set these up in advance.

For the Surfing experience:
* 10 minute walk to Modara beach (beginnersurf beach break)
* 11 minute drive to the secluded Secret Jungle Beach (amazing reef break for intermediate and advanced surfers)
* 5 minute drive to Secret Beach, Weligama (perfect beginner beach break with lots of surf schools)
* 7 minute drive to Mirissa Beach (great intermediate and advanced surfing spot located in a beautiful bay)
* 12 minute drive to Midigama beach, a series of bays and sands. Mecca for intermediate and advanced surfers looking for something a bit harder to get stuck into than Weligama Beach.
You have a series of spots to pick from. Lazy Left and Lazy Right are popular for their mellow and rippable rides. I personally love Coconuts. It's a classic South Asian reef with clear water and pristine rights

I have been worked as a tour guide.i know about Indian Ocean a lot of things and my father was teach to me.he is a fisherman and my grandpa also fisherman.we lived with this ocean soo many years.its good the nature gave to us gift changed our Generation to do watching whales and make people happy also earn money.blue whales are residents here and some of dolphins. Actually we can see here 28 different Species whales and dolphins.but every day is new day to us.i would like to show you the whales with their wild behavior and following the international approach guide line.without disturbing to them.every day we have to see The whales 95% chances.sri Lanka becomes more popular because of this blue whales.
