This charming converted carriage is tucked away on the owner’s land, in the countryside yet near to the seaside village of Portreath. Popular with couples, families, surfers and cyclists, the village has a wonderful selection of local shops and pubs to choose from. For walkers, there is direct access to the South West Coast Path, taking you through the different local habitats and the stone ruins of old wheelhouses. The property is positioned just 0. 5 miles from the ‘mining trails’, close to Portreath's various woods, and you can also walk along the Coast to Coast trail to Devoran (11.5 miles). Drive along the coast to Godrevy Lighthouse (6.5 miles) or further on down to Hayle (10 miles). The vibrant seaside town of St Ives is only 16 miles away by car. Enter into this unusual and quirky couple’s haven! In this converted railway carriage, you will notice many original features including signs, brass fixtures, light fittings and restored wooden arched ceilings. At the heart of this unique accommodation is an open-plan kitchen and living area. The kitchen is equipped with everything you'll need to whip up meals for your holiday, whether it's a picnic for a day’s adventure or a romantic feast at the dining table in the living area. After dinner, retreat to the sofa and watching a show on the TV. This open-plan area also boasts beautiful countryside views through the carriage windows. From here you'll find a well-appointed contemporary shower room along with a light and airy king-size bedroom, complete with Smart TV for lazy mornings in bed. Heading outside, the carriage is set in a large, south-facing paddock with countryside views, where you can spot birds and squirrels or admire the bluebells in the spring. The enclosed decked terrace has seating to dine alfresco and a large hot tub for romantic nights under the stars. In addition there is a handy secure outside storage are for bikes or bodyboards and wetsuits after days spent on the nearby beach.
