Good communication with host who was friendly and helpful on our arrival. He waited at the entrance to show us in, and helped carry our heavy bags up to the shepherd hut. Despite the campsite being on the corner of a road, the shepherd hut was in a secluded and quiet area at the top of the hill. Plenty of space around the hut with outside chairs, table, and bbq. Plus a picnic table in the other area of grass as you approached the hut with scenic views across the village and beyond. I'd mentioned we were there to celebrate my partners birthday, and we were left a lovely bottle of wine from the next door vineyard, which was a nice touch we appreciated. There was milk in the fridge, and sugar, tea, and nice coffee bags in jars. Plenty of mugs, plates, bowls, cutlery and cooking pans, with a mini multicooker. Inside shower was roomy and warm, plenty of towels. Suggest bring a torch if you'll be out after dark, and wellies for wet weather as it's a grassy uphill track, & leave car at base.

Anthony is very friendly, he was very flexible with the check in time and stood out front so we could find it. He was very welcoming and chatty and was quick to respond to both messages and calls. Has a heater a warm duvet and summer one, a small hob and pans. Very lovely place to stay for a few days (out the way of the road). The walk up to the hut can be a bit wet so definitely bring spare shoes or wellies. I would definitely recommend this to anybody looking at staying here. Host is great. It was a very nice place to stay. Small and homely :))
