Check-in was seamless. Maile provided the checkin details in time, prior to my arrival. The space was very tranquil. I enjoyed the fact that I could come and go as I pleased and it was hassle free. The fridge, however, did not work and the wifi was very slow. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

The place is as described and it’s beautiful. I only had minor issues which I think can be fixed. There were no instructions on how to enter the property or which room I was to stay in. Also no instructions on how to exit the property. There was construction on the property which lasted till 8pm daily (noise nuisance). The toilet also had no ventilation. And it seems the previous guest cooked popcorn in a pot which was still there when I checked in.

My stay at this place was terrible. I was disappointed when I arrived because the place did not match the pictures I saw when I was booking. It was still being renovated, there were no decorations, there was no headboard. The following day the electricity went off around 11am, I thought it was load shedding but later realised it wasn’t. When I informed the owner he took long to respond and nothing was done about the electricity, it never came back until I decided to checkout a day before the agreed date. Very poor communication from the owners, one claimed to have been out of the country but there is an assistant who was also not helpful. He said he was going to move me to another unit in the morning at 10am but only responded around 1pm to tell me it is booked we’d have to stay in the one that was not finished, there was no communication about electricity. I have also not gotten my refund. I do not recommend staying in this place.

The units are decent. It was a little too busy and not very private. The host communicated well, but being a guest there was a nightmare. It felt like a job, I first got relocated to a horrible unit… wood with nails sticking out where the headboard should be. The ceiling cornice was missing so pipes were visible, you could see the wiring from the lights. The apartment was filled with construction dust. I had to complain to be put in another unit. After we moved to the other unit there were no cooking utensils no pots no salt or pepper or anything of the sort. Then there was an electrical trip, so we had to go back to the unit we weren't happy with to cook. We were left with no power for the night, next morning we had to use the other unit again to cook until the electrician came over. We went out and came back in the evening only to stay with no power for the rest of our stay. I had planned a proposal for my partner and this place made it super unpleasant. I was very unhappy with it.

A truly enjoyable stay, will definitely be coming back in the near future.
