Perfect location-1 minute walk from the ferry terminal as well as the train station. Easy to find, right there welcoming us even at midnight! The bar downstairs was pretty busy even at the moment with locals, mostly gentlemen^^*, but it’s not noisy, rather warm and low chattery mumbles from below made us feel at home. Soon it’s quiet and we fell asleep! Simple, but necessary! Like you!^^^

Location wise it's very close to the station and ferry so would probably work best for a quick overnight stay. There is free parking but there wasn't always a space during that day but freed up in the evening and the Lidl next door was super convenient. Before booking I knew it was a pub but unfortunately the room was right above the main pub space below and was very noise 12am - 1am. I messaged the host at midnight to see if we could change rooms to somewhere a bit further away as all the other rooms were vacant on the same floor but no response at all sadly. We were tired from exploring so managed to sleep but important to flag about about the noise. In my opinion it wasn't most comfortable bed, very springy so I probably wouldn't stay again unfortunately.

Helen and the Boston arms were a great place to stay before getting on the ferry the next morning. Helen and Alan were very helpful when I managed to get myself into trouble. Thank you for the stay!

excellent location with takeaways next door, incredibly nice and friendly host; very helpful. Great pub downstairs, comfy beds and pillows. free parking right outside and lidl next door is an amazing bonus. couldn't recommend more!
