Wir haben eine wunderschöne Woche in Venedig und dem Lido verbracht sowie auf den umliegenden Inseln Burano und Murano. Alessandro holte uns persönlich an der Anlegestelle des Vaporettos ab und begleitete uns zum Haus. Er gab uns wertvolle Tipps zu den Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, zum öffentlichen Verkehr und erklärte alles was im Haus zu beachten war. Alessandro war bereits vor der Anreise und auch während dem Aufenthalt immer gut erreichbar. Die Villa älteren Baujahres ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und in der modernen Küche fehlt es an nichts. Die Bushaltestelle Marconi Marcello der Linie V ist knapp hundert Meter entfernt, der Bus fährt im 30 Minutentakt. Ebenso nah ist der Eingang zum Strand, der im Frühling aber noch nicht für die Badesaison hergerichtet ist, aber trotzdem zu langen Spaziergängen am Strand einlädt.

The property was lovely, could not have asked for a nicer place to stay. Plenty of room, easy to forget you were on holiday. Bus stop within in 1 minute of the property, which takes you to the water buses. because it was a bank holiday the bus did not run on Monday but another bus was 5 minutes walk so no complaints. the island of the Lido is a wonderful place to use as a base to explore Venice, for any family. I would recommend staying here to anyone who wants the convenience of home with the laid back feel of a hotel. 1 recommendation would be to visit Malamocco- a short bus ride along the island, and visit: Ostaria da Ricci Ciccin, a small cafe bar, with a warm and friendly atmosphere, welcoming to even British (notoriously poor tourists) and they sell the best coffee I have ever tasted! the beach opened up just as we were leaving and in the summer I can imaging this being a pleasant way to spend an hour or 2 chilling out. overall this is a superheated place and worth the visit

Alessandro met us from the ferry. Showed us how to use the bus, where the supermarket was and pointed out good restaurants. He then sent us a whats on in Venice listings he couldnt have been more helpful with advice and suggestions. The accommodation was brilliant for two families and there was plenty of sitting space in the lounge. The dining table would struggle with more than 8 but there are options. Kitchen is well equipped with a few essentials. Its about a 12 minute walk to the shops. Stone floors downstairs and wood upstairs so we were glad we took slippers. The house is beautifully warm with plentiful hotwater. The house overlooks the beach which is flat and slowly sloping. It takes about 15 mins by ferry to central Venice and boats were plentiful. If you dont want to walk from the ferry there is an excellent bus twice an hour which runs on time and stops close to the house. Beware the bus stops mid evening so if you miss it you have to stroll.

This was the best house we ever had in Italy, everything was so nicely furnished that we felt at home from the very first moment. The living room is spacious and provided enough seating accomodations for all 8 of us and we had a lot of fun cooking in the modern kitchen that had the best equipment of all houses we`ve ever been to. The sleeping rooms and bathrooms had all amenities to make our stay comfy and cosy. Just across the street there is a bus stop to reach the vaporetto station and there is also an entrance to the shore were we enjoyed long walks along the sea. Alessandro was the perfect host and he is very nice too, conversation was excellent and fast and we are very grateful for the time we could stay in his house. Thanks for everything.
