We are positioned on the Weardale Way walk . Our tent is kitted out with your bed and accompanied by a separate camping toilet. There is a seating and dinning area so it takes the hassle out of loading the car and setting up. Leaving more space for your activity equipment and more time to enjoy your stay. We can provide electric. You also have access to the homes kitchenette if required. Bring along your bikes, paddle boards and canoes or go explore in this amazing environment. We usually have pretty clear skies and limited light pollution so it’s a great opportunity for star gazing on evenings. There is a static caravan site only a couple of minutes walk away which offers a Riverview bar with seasonal entertainment and is open to the public. The Weardale Way can be accessed directly opposite the property. Weardale Adventures use the local quarry for watersports and wild swimming. The local area has lots to offer the outdoor enthusiast and also has bars , cafes and traditional independent shops. There are lots of events on over summer and autumn such as festivals and country shows . Stanhope is also a great base to explore the many great attractions of County Durham.
