The tiny home is situated on a secluded 1-acre section, about 15 minutes’ drive from Wanaka and 5 minutes’ drive from the Lake Hawea township (Lake Hawea has a village shop, take away and two restaurants/bars). The house is north-facing, providing plenty of sun and panoramic views of Hawea Flat's stunning natural scenery right from the comfort of your own private oasis. The house has a spacious deck, which is the perfect place for you to take in the views and fresh mountain air as you sip your morning coffee or unwind with a glass of wine as the sun sets behind the picturesque horizon in the evenings. Inside, you'll find a compact but thoughtfully designed living area – the ideal spot to cozy up with a good book - and a fully equipped kitchen. Each bedroom boasts a king-size bed, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of hiking and exploration in beautiful Central Otago. If you like all things outdoors, then this is really the place for you. For starters, the property is within spitting distance of some of Central Otago’s best walking and mountain biking trails (the stunning Hawea River Trail and Breast Peak walk are our favourites). For the road or gravel-bike enthusiasts among us, the property is surrounded by a network of quiet rural roads, which are perfect long rides and exploring the area. Also nearby is the world’s first large commercial inland surfing wave, Yourwave, which is only 2 minutes away. Further afield, in Albert Town is the award-winning Pembroke Patisserie and The Albie Pub are must-visits, and Wanaka has several eating options ranging from budget to high-end.
