Had a great time and Chris is an extremely responsive host.
I stayed at Chris’s pool house over the summer for a 10 week clinical rotation at the hospital. Truly, you can’t beat the location! Safe neighborhood. Very walkable. Just a street or two from the downtown Tupelo area and a short (5-10min) drive to the hospital! Despite being downtown, I found the location to be extremely private and quiet. I spent many weekends studying for boards by the pool and was never bothered! The pool house is very cozy and has everything you need for a long stay. I loved the way chris decorated the place and found it had a lot of character. The internet was very reliable and fast for when I needed to WFH. The bed is super comfy (if you like a firm mattress), the shower head pressure was A+, and the washer/dryer were a lifesaver (many airbnbs don’t include this appliance and I found it essential for a long term stay in Tupelo!). Chris was always quick to respond and a great host during my stay!
Chris was super nice and greeted me upon my arrival. The property is kind of overgrown and if it rains at all you will have to walk through standing water and mud to get to your car from the sidewalk of the house. It is stated in the listing that the main house on the property is under renovation and obviously in the winter there won’t be much greenery and perky plants and flowers but the overgrowth of the foliage makes it seem a little unkept. I can’t really complain too much because these things are stated in the listing I just feel like the property was a little more overgrown and untidy than described. Maybe some more recent photos of the property would help with this so that other renters don’t feel the same way. Overall my stay was fine and the inside of the home was as pictured with plenty of kitchen supplies, bed linens, and bathroom towels.

The home is furnished with my favorite pieces collected over the years. I have a love of history and of the community in which I live. Tupelo has many great old stories to tell.
