This part of town is called Vračar. Its perfect location makes it the most wanted area for living. It’s positioned in the center of the city, so all other areas are equally near. Vracar is positioned on a hill so it has a lot of wind. Across the building, where the apartment is located, is the temple of Saint Sava. This is the biggest orthodox temple in this part of Europe. Also across the road is the court, so this area is specially safe. The area around is crowded because of the tourists. You have a buss station nearby where you can catch a trolley that takes you to city center or a buss to New Belgrade.

☕️ In the area around our apartment there is a lot of cafes where you can enjoy one of the most important rituals in a locals life - drinking coffee. Next to the apartment you have “Cafe&factory” where you can start your day in a Serbian way.
🥨🥖🌭On of the things Serbians can’t imagine their day without are bakeries. Here you can try our specialties like cheese pie, burek, rolled hot dog, yoghurt etc. You have two of these just couple of meters from the entrance to our building, so best of luck if you’re on a diet!
🍰 In Mutapova street(5 min walk) you have a really nice cake shop. It is called “Fini” and I recommend you to try their croissants and trts with seasonal fruit(plumb, apple, raspberry etc.).
🍽️ One of the best things in Serbia is food. It’s very hard to make a bad choice of restaurant in Belgrade, because here food is being prepared with a lot of passion and love. These are my recommendations nearby:

🍺 Bars are the main place of gathering in Serbia. When the sun goes down the fun starts. You have to try “rakija” - serbian traditional shot. It is made from various od fruits. Ask for a homemade one.
Also beer crafting is very popular in Serbia so don’t miss out to try it.

🛒There is a couple of grocery stores in the nearby . You have “Aroma” “Shop&go” “Maxi”, “Soul food” and “Idea”. Also you have little box shops on streets. They are called “trafika” and they are selling essentials(drinks, sweets, tobacco).
Grocery store “Idea” (Makenzijeva 81) is working 24/7.
🛒 Market “Kalenic”
The biggest and best supplied market in Serbia is “Kalenic” and it is located nearby, just 10 minute of walking from the apartment.
Most of the stuff you find there is produced in local farms. So buying there you are supporting local small businesses.
In the “Kalenic” market you can buy fresh vegetables and fruits , meat, cheese, milk, hams, honey, walnuts etc.
💶 Exchange offices don’t work late, so make sure you do your business on time. You have one exchange office in your street just 20 meters form the entrance.

🏥 In case you need it, their is a state hospital nearby as well as privet one (Euromedic). Both are just 10 minutes away by foot.
💊 In the same street as the apartment you have a pharmacy thath works 24/7.
