The Coach House is a cosy, standalone first-floor flat with great views, set in a large landscaped garden. Recently refurbished to a high standard, it's very comfortable with a high-spec kitchen, wood-burning stove, king-sized bed and good-sized old-school bathtub. There's a small pitch'n'putt golf course in the garden, woodland walks on the doorstep and every imaginable adventure close by... a great Highlands hideaway and adventure base all year round. The Coach House is self-contained and has its own private entrance (up one flight of steps). There's plenty of parking space, and you can park right next to the entrance. Secure storage is available for bikes / skis / outdoors kit. Apart from the main house a few yards away, your nearest human neighbours are 100 yards away. Closer by, you'll spot red squirrels, deer and other wildlife enjoying the garden like they own it. Inside, the Coach House is well stocked with books, maps, games, a yoga / exercise mat, a foam roller and other delights.

Checked in a bit early as Humphrey messaged me to say we could arrive anytime that day, saved waiting about for 4pm. Lots of information inside the accomadation about local places and walks etc. kitchen had all the things I needed and I did cook a couple of times. Everywhere was clean and fresh. Once evening arrived Humphrey messaged to ask if we wanted the heating on as it had dropped cold, put on immediately which we were grateful for. We never really physically met Humphrey as we were out most days and the weather was cool/wet so no one hung about outside for long but his electronic response was excellent . This accommodation was just right for us, quiet, secluded and scenic, what’s not to like
Humphrey's place is by far the best I had during my trip. He is very quick with his replies and his instructions had been outstanding. He created a lovely space to linger. I felt truly at home, and I hope I'll find it available next time I'm visiting Scotland.

Couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The location was great and Humphrey was very helpful. The apartment was spotless and surrounded by stunning views. The accommodation is larger than it looks in the pictures. Can’t recommend this place highly enough!
Fantastisch appartement! Foto’s en omschrijving doen dit mooie appartement te kort. Vanuit alle ramen is het uitzicht fenomenaal. De tuin is prachtig! Dichtbij veel wandelingen en activiteiten. De natuur is wonderschoon en zeer divers. Het appartement is perfect, splinternieuwe keuken met goede apparatuur, niets ontbreekt. Heerlijk bed. Alles nieuw en fris en alles klopt. Driedubbel 5 sterren waard. Humphrey zeer vriendelijk en hele goede tips.

The Coach House is conveniently located just off the main road between Aviemore and Grantown on Spey (A95). The nearest shops, cafes and bars are in Grantown, just over 3 miles away, or Nethy Bridge, just over 2 miles away. Aviemore (12 miles away) is bigger, with a larger selection of shops and restaurants, and transport links including direct train to / from London King's Cross (or Euston for the Caledonian Sleeper). Inverness airport is just over 30 minutes' drive away.
Driving or cycling is the most practical way to get around, as the local bus service doesn't stop quite close enough to the property (unless you're travelling very light and don't mind a bit of a walk). Parking in the local towns and villages is generally fine. Feel free to get in touch if you've any specific questions about travel to / from the area or getting around when you're here.
