We had a lovely stay of 5 days at Priya's guesthouse. (The name of the guest house actually is Sun and Sand and not the name given by Airbnb). Priya did not live here, but we were welcomed by her care taker who was very kind and helpful (but speaks only limited English). The location is just out of Mullaithivu town and very close to a beautiful and clean beach where we mingled every morning with the fishers returning from sea and every evening had a lovely sea bath (this is not a tourist beach). The room was clean and had the required basic facilities, but the bath room needed some repairs. The guesthouse has a veranda shared with the other rooms and a small garden. The days when we were the only guests, this was a very quiet place to enjoy the sun rise or the evening breeze. There is no food provided by the guest house. Places to eat in the town are still limited, but the food we had was very good. With some improvements this guesthouse has great potential.

We couldn't reach the house the day we booked, because we came with the bicycles from Point Pedro along the coast, but the road finished at the lagoon and we had to go back. Therefore it was impossible that day. But we phoned to Priya and it was no problem to come the next day. The room was very nice and clean. In front of the door you can sit on the veranda. The woman that lives there cannot speak any englisch. Even does not know the wifi password. The next day another woman came who spoke englisch. Be aware that there are no meals and you have to go out. Mullaitivu has nearly no western tourists. We liked the place.

Very clean and comfortable place at good price taking service, location and A/C into consideration. Following Google Maps it was easy to find and both beach and shops are in walking distance. If you happen to explore this remote part of Sri Lanka, I can recommend this place.
