From here, further steps lead down to the pond. Stretching away from the Dining area is the main mowed area of garden, with the beautiful pond to the side fed by a stream coming off the hills beyond. Continuing into the distance, the property sits in 5 hectares of fields and woodland, perfect for a stroll or spotting some of the wildlife that occasionally visit. Behind Le Petit Chaudenas, the owners discovered an old abandoned tennis court overgrown with trees. Now cleared, it's the perfect spot for a game of football, badminton or volleyball. The hamlet of Toury is in the commune of Bray and there are many hiking and cycling trails nearby. The Voie Verte; a fully tarmacked cycle path stretching from Chalon to Macon can be accessed at Massily, just 3km away from Le Petit Chaudenas. For those wishing to take it slow, there are excellent markets in nearby St Gengoux, Cluny and Tournus and a wealth of exceptional restaurants, vineyards and chateaux to visit. The more energetic can also enjoy rock climbing at Culles les Roches, lake swimming, kayaking or golf at the excellent Golf Macon La Salle.
