哥伦布 · 整套平房 · 3室4床1.0卫 · 可住8人 · The City Cabin - Unique and Historic!
One of the most unique properties in the city. Our log cabin is the oldest structure in Franklin county. Built in 1805, the cabin has been moved, added onto and changed throughout the last two centuries. Located in an off-campus neighborhood, this one of a kind home will take you back in time but give you the modern amenities you need to be comfortable during your stay. This rustic three bedroom has three bedrooms, kitchen, living space and even a hidden room (if you can find it). There is plenty of room to gather with friends or family and play a game or relax. There is also outside seating in a partially fenced yard to enjoy a quiet, relaxing experience. The main floor has a large living room with fireplace, TV and seating to enjoy some time together. Large bedroom with double bed, and 1/2 bathroom. Upstairs you will find a full bathroom, and 2 more bedrooms. One with a double bed, and one with 2 twin beds.
We absolutely loved staying at the cabin and learning about the history of it! We came to OH for the Eclipse - there were four of us adults and four children staying for three nights and we truly had a wonderful time. The spring gardens were pretty & the space to spread out in the yard is very unexpected for the area. There was enough space for adults to sit and have time to talk and space for kids to be kids. The children LOVED the secret room & took turns sleeping in there. We ended up using an air matress there & it provided an extra fun aspect for the kids. While it's unique remember that it's really old & so naturally it creeks & sounds can be heard throughout the house. Take or purchase plates/cups as those are limited. Note the hot plate as the cooking tool. There's also a griddle available but it's very heavy & may be difficult to move. You will not have an experience anywhere else like this! Take the chance to experience something different. We are so glad we did.
What a treasure of a rental! We felt so lucky to find it. How often does one get to stay in a place from the early 1800s?! It felt like we stepped back in time in the best of ways. The beds were comfortable, and the amenities modern, despite being in such an old house. We had trouble figuring out the lock box, and management was very responsive, helpful and patient with us. We cannot recommend this place enough!
This was the perfect place to stay when visiting Columbus! The house was extremely cool and unique with great places to hang out, and bedrooms to sleep. The host was so friendly and willing to help whenever we needed them, and even helped us explore all of our options before booking. We would absolutely stay here again!
Old North Columbus is a neighborhood located just north of the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. It was founded in 1847 where, at the time, it was a stand-alone city out of the confines of Columbus until it was incorporated into the City of Columbus in 1871. In its early years the city was a popular stagecoach stop with people traveling from Worthington to Columbus. Today Old North Columbus is popular for its local music and its unique "untouched architecture" which is reminiscent of its old roots.
Uber and Lyft are great ways to get around in Columbus, and our central location allows you to get to most parts of downtown in under 10 minutes, and most other parts of Columbus in under 20 minutes.
We also are close to a COTA public bus stop. Also available in Columbus are a bike share, and scooters!
