The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner that dominates the ground floor bathes in plenty of natural light during the day and transforms into an even cosier space come nightfall when hearty meals and fizz are on the agenda. Guests can be assured a long and restful sleep in the king-size bedroom, the double bedroom and the bunk bedroom upstairs. A slick family shower room stands nearby. The cottage is surrounded by fields and features a large courtyard and a lawn perfect for dog-friendly children’s games and chilling with refreshments and snacks to hand. The cottage’s enviable location makes it a convenient base for active groups. The Brecon Beacons National Park, home to wooded valleys, lakes and awe-inspiring peaks including Pen Y Fan, stands 3 miles from the cottage. Mountain bikers and walkers will be in their element at Afan Forest Park (17 miles), while naturalists and water sports lovers are within 25 miles of the Mumbles the Gower AONB. Ystradgynlais (0.5 miles) is useful for essentials and a swift pint.
