Place is right on the beach. Nice and easy walk to beginners bay, we enjoyed many sunsets there. Close to lots of dining options and the food at the hostel itself is delicious. Also close to a small market (would recommend, if you can, doing a bigger shop before getting to Popoyo, as it is limited in supplies and a little but pricy.) Kitchen has all the basic necessities to cook easy meals. A fruit truck passes by a couple of times a day, so yummy! The A/C works really great. Power outage during the night only happened twice during our 9 nights there, so that was a win! The common areas downstairs are nice and inviting. The patio attached to the apartment is nice wonderful in the AM and later at night. Popoyo Republic had one open mic night followed by a DJ on the Friday. It was a nice vibe with tourists and locals all hanging out. Didn’t last late, music was off by 12:15, so this did not disturb at all. A pleasant portion of our vacation :)

Wir waren 4 Tage in der Wohnung von Thomas und haben nochmals verlängert. Die Wohnung ist schön gelegen und hat alles was man braucht. Die Bar unten hört man fast nicht und stört auch nicht. Die Drinks sind super. Die Klimaanlage ist ein grosser Vorteil und separat im Schlafzimmer. Leider fällt der Strom immer wieder mal aus (Dieses Problem gibt es aber in der ganzen Strasse) Und leider war der Kühlschrank defekt und wurde nicht ausgetauscht oder repariert. Sonst gute Preis/Leistung!

Great spot on the beach with a cozy one-bedroom apartment. The WiFi was strong, though power outages can occur. The rooftop added a nice touch for some amazing views. Plus, Thomas was responsive and friendly, making the stay even better.

we loved it. amazing place. right by the ocean. very relaxed and chill. amazing views and full apartment with everything you need. Thomas was nice and took care, when the fridge didn't work as it should. 100% recommended!
