I requested late check in and when we arrived at 10 p.m. we were told the apartment had a leak in a bathroom and they couldn’t give it to us until the next day after 2 because they hadn’t finished fixing it that day but no one informed us in advance. They told us they would set us up in 2 rooms for the night, which was unacceptable since we were 3 couples and they knew that. They had no more rooms available so 2 of the couples stayed and me and my husband had to find somewhere else to stay. The rooms they gave us were old, uncomfortable and the bed linens had stains. “For the trouble” they offered us free breakfast. The next day I spoke to someone else and they refunded us the money for the night since we had to stay somewhere else. When we finally got the apartment it was just as described except the bathroom leak was still there. Terrible first impression when traveling with people visiting El Salvador for the first time but the location was very convenient and the complex was quiet.
