Eaglehawk Neck · 整套民居 · 3室0床1.0卫 · 可住5人 · The Old Jetty Joint | Tasmania
The Old Jetty Joint welcomes you with a cosy 1970's shack vibe. This classic Tasmanian shack has been thoughtfully renovated to take full advantage of its spectacular location – perched overlooking Pirates Bay, only 150m from the beach. With one of Tasmania’s most stunning bays just across the road, your gaze will skip endlessly between the swell lines and the dramatic coastline beyond. Pack your surfboard or whittle the hours away beachcombing the pristine white sands. @theoldjettyjoint Simple and tasteful, The Old Jetty Joint presents a spacious open plan living, dining and kitchen. Features include a leather sofa, wood fire, spectacular views and gloriously aged timber floorboards. Sun drenched mornings are the perfect start to sleepy days. A slower way of life happens here. With a sweeping view across the bay, the kitchen is kitted out with everything you need to fuel your appetite for exploration. An electric cooktop and oven, plus microwave, make it easy to cook up a storm. Coffee is aways at hand, with both a Breville coffee machine and Nespresso pod option handy. Perfect for couples and family getaways, The Old Jetty Joint offers 3 bedrooms that can sleep 5 guests comfortably. Choose from the master with a queen bed, second bedroom with a dreamy double, and a third bedroom tucked at the rear offering 2 singles. Whatever your choice, you’ll be gently lulled to sleep by the sound of the surf. Take your pick of generous outdoor spaces. If the elements blow in, tuck yourself away in the covered front verandah, and watch the wrath of the mighty ocean unfurl. The spoils of the private rear outdoor entertaining area include a barbeque and large timber outdoor table, to while away the afternoon sunshine. Perhaps you’ll spend an evening swapping stories around the firepit – the starlight here is sensational.
We were so impressed with Jodie and Sam’s place! The home was well-stocked, incredibly clean, wonderfully styled and family friendly. The wood fire and warm bedding kept us very comfortable and we made use of the lovely sundeck and coffee machine every morning. Jodie and Sam’s place is very family friendly. It offers the best spot to watch the waves and explore all that Eaglehawk Neck has to offer. We’re already making plans to return!
My family of four adults and one baby had a great one night stay here, wish we could have stayed longer as it is a beautifully decorated house with a stunning view and quick access to the beach. Sam and Jodie were very responsive hosts, thanks again for the flexibility on check in / check out. Would recommend!
Perfect place! Amazing house, amazing location (what a view!), plenty of supplies, and such friendly, kind, responsive hosts. Wanted to stay longer! Absolutely recommend
To really enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Tasman Peninsula, a car is a must have.
Just 2 minutes up the road from The Old Jetty Joint you’ll find Cubed Espresso – a funky little coffee van with the best view in Tassie. Call in for a cuppa and home baked treats to die for. The Lufra Hotel is also within stone’s throw, a waterside hotel with a bistro boasting fresh local spoils from the sea, we recommend calling ahead to make a booking, just in case.
It’s easy to eat and drink your way around the Tasman Peninsula. We recommend a stop at Bangor Vineyard Shed for a relaxed tasting in their stunning cellar door restaurant. Keep the party going with a visit to Premaydena Hill Wines for fabulous small batch, cool-climate drops. McHenry Distillery is perched on the side of Mount Arthur and offers the best in local gin, whisky and beer. Their summer Sunday sessions include live music and cocktail jugs. The Port Arthur Lavendar Farm might be more your style if you have kids in tow, the lavender ice cream is always a hit! Keep your eyes peeled on the road – you’ll even pass a chocolate factory.
The peninsula rewards with all manner of spectacular natural wonders, with options for all levels of fitness. Many of the most breathtaking views are accessible just 2 minutes from local carparks - make sure you take in Tasman Arch, Devil’s Kitchen, the Blowhole and Remarkable Cave. Those who enjoy day walks will delight in the magnificent sea cliffs offered up by Cape Hauy and Cape Raoul. Crescent Bay is a great day out for families. A scenic one-hour ramble will land you at a gently curving beach with pristine sand dunes. Pack a picnic lunch and let the kids run wild.
