we had the best stay in this house! Bobi and his crew are dedicated to preserve the wildlife is Sumatra, they do this from the profit which arise ftom this accomodation. We went on a jungle trekking lead by 3 of the staf members. These guys felt like our best friends from day one! Drinking some beers, playing cards and playing guitar are standard evening rituals. Definitely would recommend this place for your stay in Bukit Lawang!

Homestay davvero consigliata. Il personale è stato gentile e disponibile (abbiamo fatto check in alle 4 del mattino e ci sono venuti a prendere con l'autista direttamente all'aeroporto di Medan). Tramite Surya (il ragazzo che organizzava quasi tutto all'interno della struttura) abbiamo potuto fare tre giorni di trekking nella giungla. Stanza pulita, un po' meno i bagni. È possibile anche pranzare e cenare nella struttura ma i costi sono leggermente più alti che nel paese sottostante e le porzioni meno abbondanti. Consigliato per tutti coloro che hanno bisogno di passare giorni in mezzo alla natura, che non vengono impressionati da qualche scarafaggio e che si adattano in un luogo in cui non c'è acqua calda e spesso salta la luce. Good stay, had a fantastic trek with Andre. Highly recommended doing it. As expected with jungle, plenty of bugs and animals in the room (including a quite large lizard). WiFi was very slow so we used 4G. The bedroom floor boards have cracks so there is no sound privacy. Fantastic views and laying out in the hammock whilst it rained outside was surreal.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Talking to Bobi and Viki was great and super interesting. We loved learning about the animal rescue project. During the evenings we had great conversations! The rooms are very nice, there is hot water and the view is great. We absolutely loved the jungle trek with Ira and Viki. Furthermore, Bobi and Viki were super helpful and made it possible that we could also visit a palm oil plantation and speak with local workers there.

Highly recomended place to stay I had a great stay in this place. Katharina and her husband Bobi, is very friendly and helpful. It's my first time to Bukit Lawang, and Bobi really helping me giving so much information about it. Their place is really in great location. Up the hills, with awesome view of Bahorok village and Bahorok river, Mountains, and Jungle. Really enjoyable and relaxing scenery. So quite and peaceful at night, with the sounds of wild nature animal. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Lots of smile :) Bobi, himself, running his own program of Eco friendly system, which very interesting. And his care for wild life animal is amazing. Have a talk with Him, and you will be impressed and I personally think, that will built our attention and understanding about respecting everything surround you. This place suitable for Solo traveller and Couple, and also Family with young children.
